Post-Chicago letdown

I'm feeling that way too. It's almost a sense of loss. And of course, now that I've had time to think all the "what-ifs" are creeping into my head. Insecurity issues and all that.

As for feeling like attention was monopolized, I don't think either of you hogged the spotlight at all, at least, not from anybody who wanted it. For me, though, I worry that I may have stolen the attention of a few people away from others who may have wanted it. And I know that I ignored a few people who wanted more of my attention. I'd be surprised if there are any hard feelings, but it's still something I worry about. :(

I know exactly how you feel........ I too wish I could have spent more time getting to know others better...... some people hid, some people were only social at the beginning of both nights, others I just didn't get a chance to talk to... I can't blame any of them however, just myself........ but I thank you all for the opportunity I did have to get to know you..........

So is there ever a European version? We appear to have lots of Brits in the forums and at least three of us in Germany. Why should they have all the fun?

Who is the third german on the AH? Fieryjen lives in the US, she's transplanted... Though we could lurk her here maybe :)

The Brits have had some Litogethers. Maybe we could go there or met at half way in the netherlands :)

Hmmmm... I was referring to Fieryjen. I was so excited; I thought there was someone else in Hesse. Of course, I'm transplanted from the US, so maybe that's a trade.

RyanAir is cheap and the British certainly know how to party. Their beer is nothing to write home about, but that's a small sacrifice...

Do they advertise on AH?

hmm.. what would the Brits say to that?
... oh yes...

bullocks.........

You gave your energy, your openess, and your willingness for adventure...

I know I'm very pleased to have met you.... and I hope everything you take from this experience was positive... I know everything I got from you was certainly positive....

hmm... where DID your cookies go anyway......... I didn't get to taste them...:rose:

Thats bollocks you tosspot!!*

*insult added just for FieryJen.....:D

I learned Mengi (or something like that) last year. I was trying to find an activity for the group to do while we were hanging out, so took Rachlou with on a tour of the local spots. I had a beater pickup that I used for work (and had spilled coffee on the floor, ruining the carpet) and she got in and told me my truck was "Mengi". I asked her what that meant and she said, "disgusting". Luckily she didn't hold it against me and we had a lot of fun (including me introducing her to Oberwise milkshakes). This year I brought my new car and made sure it was immaculate, but it turned out to not matter. However, I did learn my lesson.

Note to Mark: Feel free to correct my poor spelling of the word.

Oh sweetie, you sound so much like me :( I personally do not think you are egotistical, just beautiful and generous :rose:
Thanks, I do appreciate that (especially coming from you). :rose:

Ah but then again, there is nothing in the Bible, Koran or Torah that is against BDSM. Nor against nudity in general. BSDM is not about sex but the sensations, pain, punishment etc. But then again, that is another discussion for another time. Thank you all for your sharing and open honesty this weekend. It was highly enjoyable to be around others who can talk about what you like/do without the judgement.

(and yes, getting up and going to work today was extremely hard to do. Between fatigue, the weather and not waking up to laughter in nearby rooms it's no wonder the Chicago Blues were present.
Well said :)

 I want you to know you have NO reason to second guess yourself. I admire you. :rose:  ((((((HUGS)))))) Never ever ever ever regret what you experienced.
I don't regret it, honest. :D Thank you very much for your kind words.

It was a pleasure to meet you last weekend. You're even sweeter in person than you seem on here, and that's saying something. :rose:
[...] and FieryJen was the surprise of the evening, [...]
You're making it sound like I jumped out of a cake or something :D

I'm feeling the blues now :(

Mark and Blue just left on their way to their next stop.

No? Well shit, I would have made sure to hold them under everyone's nose Sunday morning if I'd known that not everybody got to taste them before. I took more home than I could eat.

Next year

Anyway... I agree the time spent together was definitely positive :rose: Although as I recall there wasn't much of that energy left after Saturday night. :D Thanks for the kind words. And thanks also for getting me drunk enough to relax the first evening. It was quite helpful.

I do hope to see you again, hopefully next year in Chicago. :rose:

I believe there has been at least one British gathering before.

I may be transplanted, but I'm still German.

I mean, otherwise I wouldn't be having all these green card issues. My family lives there. I still consider it home. I just haven't been able to go for a few years.

Well, you were a tad nervous for sure when you first got there........ glad you joined me at the bar....... I don't think it was really the alcohol that got you warmed up but all the people who welcomed you with open arms............

Yes next year definitely... speaking of that, I hope the 360 odd days until then are prosperous, happy, and healthy for you and hubby..........

:rose:

I do believe it was a little more than a tad

And you're probably right. It was nice how little awkwardness there was, and how easily I was able to just start chit-chatting about something with everyone at the bar, and later in the room. :) Drinking a little certainly didn't hurt though.

S is definitely planning on coming to Chicago with me again next year... I think he was quite surprised by how much fun he ended up having! Thanks for the well-wishes

 Thank you. :rose: I'm glad I was able to fool you in person as I do all the folks here... because really I'm not sweet at all. Rather mean and vicious. . . Yeppers. :D

Riiiiiight.

And (as I said before), none of us were ever naked at any point ever at all.

I see we understand each other

I did see some naked parts...............

but remembering who they all belong to is a bit blurry.......

I know I teased you about not letting me "rub" you, but trust me, I didn't feel ignored in the least. To be honest, I liked going back for seconds on Jen. She makes great noises while being massaged. I've dated women that didn't make that much noise during sex. ;)

Hehehehe. ;)

I'm glad that you were there...I did like chatting with you and Jen that first night. So open and so freeing. :)

Insecurity is an issue we all face at times.

It was a busy weekend, I know the feeling about wishing you had more time with people, a two night weekend is too short.

It is. I doubt three nights will be long enough either but most of us can only take so much time off work.

But it'll be longer. :)
