Post-Chicago letdown

As I am primarily a photographer... I think I understand the concept of the muse in a mildly different way, and mine has been silent for many months. I have felt no inspiration whatsoever. This is the first week that I have really felt like taking pictures the way I used to, and even though I had some settings on my camera messed up - so quite a few pictures of Fieryjen are less than spectacular - in an artistic way, they are quite fantastic and so very well capture the flashes of emotion in the way her face lit up Saturday evening.

I'm glad you felt like your old self behind the camera. I know about not having inspiration or feeling like the muse is silent. But we've already discussed that, and we'll probably discuss it more too.

I, for one, was happy that you were clicking away with the camera, and not just because you captured some great memories, but also because I know how happy you are behind the camera. :rose:

I, for one, had a wonderful time. :D

If I feel any let-down it's from leaving the company of Litizens and going back to the RL. Bummer!

To those I already knew--it was great to see you again.

To those I met in person for the first time--I was pleased to make your acquaintance.

I only wish I could have talked more with everyone individually--but that's for Litogether 3. ;)

Good fortune to each and every one of you.

It was a pleasure. :)

I shall. ;)

I'm drinking that green drinky thing that was made for me right now. :D

It's called a Midori Sour...

Shot and a half of Midori, fill the rest of a tumbler with Sweet & Sour Mix... and top of with sprite, Mtn Dew, or Ginger Ale...

Enjoy!!

Shit, I completely missed your post... and now that I'm reading it, I'm blushing quite furiously.

I can't wait to see the pictures though. :rose:

Holy cow I'm so glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read this!!!

I was just about to take a sip of my mountain dew while I read it.............

the result would have been equally as amusing...........

Oh, I see. That actually sounds like something I might like to try some time. I love Ginger Ale. Midori's not bad either, in this combination, I'd imagine.

Wow... talk about a Post-Chicago Letdown.

I want to take a moment to thank all of you that made me feel beautiful, whether it be from simple comments to more intimate moments shared between friends. This evening as I was once again reaquainted with the way my spouse shows affection to me, I was reminded of the love and friendship that poured out from all the attendees. Thank you for that. My Letdown is different tonight. I am not letdown from Chicago, but letdown because I dared hoped that those feelings you all gave me would be reflected enough in my person to generate a bit more intimacy with the spouse, sadly... that wasn't the case and I was reminded that in the eyes of another I am just the mom/wife, but in your eyes... I am Me.

Thank you for all you guys/gals gave me this past weekend.

That sounds like a man who needed to be dragged along. Next year, perhaps?

Oh, I see. That actually sounds like something I might like to try some time.

I was mentioning to Kat today that at next years lit-together, we are going to have to talk to Wenchie and get her to demonstrate some knots and such used for males.

I'm glad you could be yourself around us, Red. Really glad. I'm so sorry that you had to come home to an attitude like that from one who's supposed to love you more than anything though. :( :rose:

Oooh!

I take it next year you'll be the center of attention? :cathappy:

It's easy to make a beautiful person feel beautiful -- and you are physically, mentally and emotionally a beautiful person :rose:

In retrospect, I wished I had gotten to spend more time with you over the weekend, but in the here, there and everywhere of a large group I somehow missed that chance. It is something I plan to remedy the next time I see you ... because the you we all see is someone who is pretty special :kiss:
