Post-Chicago letdown

Wow... talk about a Post-Chicago Letdown.

I want to take a moment to thank all of you that made me feel beautiful, whether it be from simple comments to more intimate moments shared between friends. This evening as I was once again reaquainted with the way my spouse shows affection to me, I was reminded of the love and friendship that poured out from all the attendees. Thank you for that. My Letdown is different tonight. I am not letdown from Chicago, but letdown because I dared hoped that those feelings you all gave me would be reflected enough in my person to generate a bit more intimacy with the spouse, sadly... that wasn't the case and I was reminded that in the eyes of another I am just the mom/wife, but in your eyes... I am Me. :kiss:

Thank you for all you guys/gals gave me this past weekend.

I agree wholeheartedly (other than being the wife ;) ). In the span of a weekend I went from tentatively looking forward to meeting a few old friends, to having a wonderful time, to coming home, now to wondering how to restart my life. I'm quite grateful to the attendees for making me feel so at home, even though I haven't been around in ages. Unfortunately real life intrudes, and it is rarely a friend.

I learned Mengi (or something like that) last year. I was trying to find an activity for the group to do while we were hanging out, so took Rachlou with on a tour of the local spots. I had a beater pickup that I used for work (and had spilled coffee on the floor, ruining the carpet) and she got in and told me my truck was "Mengi". I asked her what that meant and she said, "disgusting". Luckily she didn't hold it against me and we had a lot of fun (including me introducing her to Oberwise milkshakes). This year I brought my new car and made sure it was immaculate, but it turned out to not matter. However, I did learn my lesson. :eek:

Note to Mark: Feel free to correct my poor spelling of the word.

Hey S, it took me a second or two to click as to what phrase you meant (I blame my brain still being on UK time its 5.45am there and its usually fast asleep right now).
I do believe you mean "minging" which indeed does mean disgusting, gross or just plain ugly dependant on the context in which its used...derivatives include "minger" an ugly person of either male or female gender, "mings" as in that mings" which is just a variation on the original "minging" and "mingy" which is also just a derivation, these derivations are in some cases attributable to regional dialects......:D

I was mentioning to Kat today that at next years lit-together, we are going to have to talk to Wenchie and get her to demonstrate some knots and such used for males.

I was quite willing to be a model for Wenchie this year...;)

You're very welcome sweetie...you are beautiful inside and out and I am a better person for knowing you.

:rose::kiss:

Thanks all. :kiss: I appreciate your love and support. :kiss: It's been a long time since I had to deal with that feeling of disappointment. I had thought I had buried it. You Litsters are wonderful. :rose:

Mark - - - Those were not scars but scratches, little baby ones, like from a small rose, a white one...pure innocent and virginal. :D

::thinking of what I should do to you on Blue's behalf for that remark:: :D

I think he should be punished... a good spanking to start... :D

And I supposed Blue will need lots of support while Mark is being punished.. won't she?:devil:
