Pandorum

Crystal observed the whole situation. She even allowed the guy to lead them to the bathroom. As she followed him, Zora seemed to cling close to her. It bothered her because, despite the fact that they'd just met; it didn't seem like this was like Zora at all. The whole clingy thing.Shaking free from her thoughts, she watched as Zora observed the blood on their new male ally.

"Yeah, what happened?" Crystal echoed.

When he told them that it was from the mangled guy that he'd stolen the torch from and that it was dry. Crystal stepped away from Zora for a moment and attempted to wipe the blood off of him. It was dry. Good, that meant they could trust him, for now.

She shrugged at his question about what was going on here, "I dunno. I woke up in a pod without any memory of anything, unfortunately. The only thing i can remember is my name and...well, thats about it. I don't know where the bridge is. Zora and I ..." she waved her hand over to the girl standing next to her, "were looking for captain; because the captain should know whats going on here."

Crystal looked thoughtful for a moment, "But the captain would most likely be on the bridge, wouldn't he...or she?"

As the guy explained and Crystal and him talked Zora went into one of the stalls and peed. She had to go and man or not she was going. She flushed and washed her hands. At least the water was working. Zora cupped her hand and gingerly tasted it. It had a slight metallic taste, but it wet her dry throat and cleared her head. Zora drank her fill.

"Okay. We're on D3. The ladies bathroom has clean water. That's good to know. We also know that level D is also a slaughter house. On level C we didn't see any bodies. Maybe they brought them here or maybe we weren't in the right hallway." Zora splashed water on her face and dried it with her shirt. "How many levels are on this ship? A is the bridge and offices, B is ..." Zora hated this. This meant they had been in cryo sleep much longer than they should have. What if they never regained their memories.

"5! There's 5 level, but level E is the reactory. Not livable. So that means..." Zora slowly stood up. "We're at the bottom of the livable floors. There's more bodies here. Is this where.... they ... breed, live, whatever?" Even as those questions stumbled out of Zora's mouth she was already thinking of new questions. She wasn't hesitating out of fright she was hesitating because she was thinking.

"We have little power. The elevators are out of the control. There are stairwells to the next floors. One at each end of the corridors." Zora didn't want to use the stairs. They always spooked her and now with those things she would rather travel the hatch. Except that if they were caught with one of those things there was almost guaranteed no escape.

"Okay. We need to get to the first level. We need weapons. I'm sure if I was captain I would hole up on the bridge. That's the safest spot. Everyone would come to you. So that's where we need to go." Zora finally turned to the two other people. "Let's take stock of what we have. I have a flashlight. That's it."

Dennis Graham

Dennis kept moving towards the door as softly as he could, it slid open to the touch to reveal a stairwell, a strange image came to his mind's eye

"D4"

That meant he would have to go down, but what was at D4? A quick flash and he could see himself holding a hydrolic metal saw as he cut through a girder

"A weapon...of sorts"

Dennis shook his head, how did this work? You ask the right questions and get the right answers? Taking a deep breath he looked down the stairs

"What is at D4?"

This time the image showed the hydrolic saw propped against a locker and that is all that he could see. Bracing himself Dennis moved down the stairs, ready to run if any creature shows itself.

"The water works?" Crystal said, it was only at that moment she realized how incredibly thirsty she was! She rushed to the sink and turned on the water, taking her own fill of the clean yet, metallic tasting water. She hated tap water, but this would have to do for now. Oh! Another fact about herself that she remembered. Anything else? She waited for a second, nope nothing at all.

She returned to Zora's side as she started talking about the different levels. Everything that Zora said made perfect sense. Crystal nodded in agreement before looking down at her dress. All she had on was a bra, panties, and a dress along with a vest. She was wearing red boots but she didn't think she carried anything in there.

Wait a minute, wait. one. minute. Leaning down, Crystal pulled a knife out of her boots. "This probably would've helped awhile ago huh?" She said, giving a little nervous laugh. "Sucks when you can't remember things. So, I have a knife and..." She handed Zora the key like necklace. "this necklace that seems to open up doors."

Dennis Graham

The door was closed and didn't want to open, Dennis frowned as he inspected the door, a bit of force made the door budge, but it closed up again. Most probably the sensors was damaged, again it seemed to Dennis as if his mind kicked into a strange gear and started to tell his hands what to do even if he didn't actually know what was going on. Using his fingers to pry a panel from the door, he reached in and pulled out two wires, biting through the covering he stripped the covering and touched the two wires together. The doors slowly hissed open and he quickly wound the bare strips of wire together and decided against placing the wires back into the panel, he might need to close the door in a hurry. He checked the markings on the hallways and read D3, rubbing over his jaw he tries to figure out what way to go when something catches his eye, walking back and bending down he retrieves a piece of paper from one of the air ducts, folding it open he finds that it's a partial map of the ship

"Finally some good look and there is D4"

Dennis started walking as softly as he could in the direction shown on the map when he heard voices up ahead, now if he deduced right from the monster he killed, they aren't much into talking. He slowly creep closer until he comes to the bathroom door, the voices were coming from inside, a bit muffled that is why he only heard them when he was almost at the door.

"This probably would've helped awhile ago huh?"

He touched the door and it opened up, peeking inside he notices movement in the women's bathroom, he slowly edged forward until he could look into the room. There stood three normal looking people, but Dennis hung back a bit just to make sure.

"Sucks when you can't remember things. So, I have a knife and..."

The female speaker of earlier says and then took a key-shaped necklace from her neck and handed it to the other female

"this necklace that seems to open up doors."

Dennis now knew that they were normal, just like him and he stepped in through the door with his hands in clear view

"Damn am I glad to find somebody else"

He walks along quietly, and hears a man just around the corner talking to himself.

"D4."

D4? Just above the reactor. Wait, how did he know that? He waited for anything else. His mind was silent, and wasn't giving anything else to him.

"A weapon...of sorts."

Weapon? A firearm?

"What is at D4?"

He backs into a shadowy doorway, worried he had been spotted. The man seemed to gather himself up and moved down the stairs. He followed silently as the man arrived at a shut door. His hands seem to move of their own accord as he pried open a panel and tied wires together. The door slid open and the man, most likely an engineer, moved through the door, stopping to look at the lettering on the wall. D3. The engineer seems to see something, and turns to pull a piece of paper out of a vent.

"Finally some good look, and there is D4."

What is at D4? He asked himself. Shaking his head, he followed the man down the corridor and into a room with several bloody corpses strewn about. He looks back at the engineer and sees that he is listening to something through the bathroom door.

"Damn am I glad to find someone else." he said.

The Lone Wolf stood and moved up next to him. "Likewise." he says politely. "And we might want to get in there quickly if there are other survivors."

Daniel Frost - Meeting

So, two women, one of whom seems to know something about the ship and the other seems to have some handy equipment. Useful. Very useful. Daniel takes a deep breath, taking stock of their situation.

"It's not much," he comments, "but it's a start. Almost seems like we've got a map and a plan."

"We should..." he begins, then breaks off when he realises there's someone else approaching.

"Where the fuck did you come from?" he exclaims rhetorically to the huge man approaching through the doorway. He backs off in the bathroom, slowly, 'til level with the two women, where he pauses. Poised, once again ready to run, he quickly scans for exits but sees only the one, then is even more alarmed to realise that this is filled by yet another man. Where the first is massive but otherwise seem amiable, the second gives Daniel the chills.

"And who the fuck is your friend back there?"

No weapons aside from the torch, which he holds low but defensively in front of him, Daniel automatically sides with the women against the two new arrivals.

Daniel glances to his left, addressing the women, "Are either of these guys, y'know, them?"

Dennis Graham

"Likewise...and we might want to get in there quickly if there are other survivors."

Dennis almost jumped out of his skin when the voice suddenly spoke from his side

"WHAT THE FUCK!"

Without conscious thought he threw a punch but the man calmly blocked it

"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you."

The calm voice told Dennis that this man was a killer and good at what he did, he grinned disarmingly

"Sorry man, you shouldn't make a habit of sneaking up on people you want to talk to"

Turning his attention back to the man and the ladies he noticed that the man's hand was hurt, slowly he took the First Aid kit from his tool kit and placed it on the sink

"I don't know how to use it, maybe you can get somebody to patch up that hand. I came down the stairwell and I'm on my way to D4, I...I think there is something I must get there that I can use"

He motioned to the man next to him

"Unfortunately I have no idea who this is, he will have to tell you that himself"

Zora nodded at Crystal. A knife. The girl had a knife. Thank goodness. She was trying to remember where the chow hall was on this rig so they could get weapons, but Crystal was one step ahead. She nodded in thanks taking the key and handing the knife back to Crystal. "I assume you know how to use it." Zora looked to Dan who backs up the plan when he stops. Zora stops and looks to where he's looking when a man comes from the shadows. Zora takes a deep breath, her heart in chest, dammit if only she had a weapon too. The beast talks and ... it's human.

She calms down only to have his friend ... nope the man looked scared as shit too. It's interesting how one man throws a punch only to have his easily blocked. He could be with the others and the thought is in her eyes. She's not even trying to hide it. "You with those things out there?" Zora asks to basically both men at the same time. "You going to lead them to us so they could kill us and eat us. What do you get out of it? Life?"

Zora cocked her head and recongized the voice from the door. "You were there earlier. With the thing. Why didn't it kill you?" Zora slowly gropes Crystal hand looking for the knife. She was going to rush the man and kill him. He was with the monsters.

Dennis Graham

Dennis tried to remain calm, but when he saw the woman groping towards the knife the other one held he lowered his hands and stared hard at her.

"I am on my way to D4, there is something I want there, didn't you listen to a word I said?"

He took the map from his pocket and unfolded it, holding it up

"See? We are in hallway D3..."

He pointed on D4

"I had to come past this room on my way there, that is what I'm doing here and I'd advise you to leave that knife, I'm not here to lead anything to you"

He motioned towards Leo

"This guy is some sort of Special Operations guy and I doubt he would sell any of us out, because the Spec Ops people must protect the crew of the ship and don't ask me how I know that I just do"

He took a deep breath

"And I killed that thing that attacked you, if I didn't catch it by surprise I would probably be on my back getting chewed on, now please, I'm not here to harm you, I just want to get to D4 and find out what is there"

Zora listened to his tale and dammit she believed him. Plus she was sure if anyone had been awake with these horrors they would be a bit more .. unstable. This guy sounded desperate, scared, and like he knew something was there, but couldn't figure out what. She looked to Dan and Crystal before staring at what the man said was their protector. Though as soon as he said Spec Ops it clicked in Zora's mind. Though she did wonder how he knew the guy was spec ops, but he said not to ask. He didn't know which also help Zora to his side. He was still experiencing the memory loss thing.

"Okay. I'm Zora. This is Crystal and Dan." She waited for the others to give their names. "D4 isn't far." Zora felt sweat slide down her back and between her breasts. She blinked as she thought out loud. "It wasn't as hot on C floor. It's warmer here. We found more dead bodies here that's just been laid out almost like a feast. We know we're in their hunting ground but why this floor?"

Zora went pale. For a black girl she literally lost some color. She knew why. She knew why they had to get out of this bathroom and now! "We're in space. Those things didn't have much of clothing. With the power on the fritz it'll be colder the higher up we go. Meaning this must be their nest or..." Zora looked down at the floor as if she could see below it. She started to whisper. If Dennis could have heard her through the door could those things have heard her through the floor.

"I'm hoping there's a weapon in D4. We need to get out of here now. We'll split up. Spec Ops, Dennis, and I will go to D4. Crystal and Dan start heading to the bridge. I believe on C2 there's a chow hall. We'll need supplies enough to feed us and whoever is on the bridge. And bottled water. We'll meet up with you there. or in the halls." Zora looked to see if anyone agreed with this plan. "Oh and don't run. They'll surely feel the vibrations or hear the sounds."

Dennis Graham

Dennis saw her listen to him and noticeably relaxed a bit, he relaxed as well and then looked at her companions, Dan seemed like a capable man, somebody who would be able to handle tough situations if given the right tools, or as his hand proved, he will improvise. Crystal looked like a girl who could handle herself and her open, friendly face seemed to belie the steel Dennis could see in her eyes, somewhere in the back of his mind her face stirred a string, but Dennis couldn't put his finger on it. Zora was quite a looker and with the wife beater t-shirt clinging to her upperbody, Dennis couldn't help but look, she was fit and toned and she surely had an air of authority around her.

Dennis nodded as Zora outlined their plan, it sounded like a plan, not one of the best plans, but it was one of the best plans they had so far and then stopped, she called him Dennis, why?

"Hold on. Why did you call me Dennis? I sure didn't tell you, because I have no idea what it is and..."

He pointed to the ripped piece of fabric where his name tag would have been

"It seems like somebody doesn't want me to remember"

Spec Ops

The man turns, shouts a curse, and throws a punch. The Spec Ops moves without his own free will, blocking the punch and pushing the man back.

"Calm down. I'm not going to hurt you."

He smiles and apologizes. Then turns back to the group inside. The Spec Ops feels he should know the women in the middle, but does not know why. He notices her reaching for a knife the other holds, while the man holds his torch defensively. Not much of a threat, but admirable none the less. The middle women speaks out, panic oblivious in her voice.

"You with those things out there? You going to lead them to us so they can kill us and eat us? What do you get out of it? Life?"

The man next to him attempted to calm her down, which, surprisingly, seemed to work. She gave their names. She was Zora, the other women was Crystal, and the man was Dan. Though the Spec Ops already knew him. Zora started speaking softer and outlined a plan. He remained silent as they talked and contemplated his options. Not much of a choice, really. He found himself in a group with the danger half of the plan with Zora and Dennis. Dennis? How did he know his name? He waited. Nothing. Apparently his mind was against him. Then he realized something. He didn't even know his own name. He struggled with his mind, but it would not yield the information he sought. He shrugged mentally, and turned to his group, hands clasped behind his back, waiting.

Zora blinked at Dennis. She remembered. She knew his name. They were friends. She was sure of it. Zora thought back. She had purposely waited for the others to give their names and realized none had, but she knew this man's name. She wasn't sure of the Spec Ops guy, but she thought she knew his name as well. It was on the tip of her tongue.

"I...we know eachother." Zora closed her eyes trying to think, but nothing was coming to her. She slammed her fist on the counter next to the sink. She was frustrated that bursts were coming to her. Who knew how long this would take to fully regain your memories? Dammit she hated this.

"We'll talk more about ... our past later. Right now we need to get out, get weapons, supplies, and head to the bridge." Even as she spoke Zora wondered if Dennis and her were more than just friends. She doubted it. He didn't seem her type. Than again she wasn't sure what her type was, but she supposed it would be more like the spec ops guy build with the brains of ... ... that famous smart guy... with weird freakin hair. Don King! No! That was wrong she knew that. Smart guy not crook.

Daniel Frost - Parting

Daniel listens to their names. He looks at the faces. He searches within for a sign of recognition. Nothing. How can he not know these people who seem to know him? Other faces, different faces swim before him and he finds he can name them. But they are not here. Why can't he remember...!?

He pushes the sudden sense of dislocation down deep, symbolically locking it in a box in his mind. Not going to deal with that now. More pressing things to work on. Got to keep with the plan. Got to focus.

Zora talks like she knows the sky from the sea, like she's used to giving orders and having them obeyed. Daniel's not much of one for obeying but he's happy enough to be told to do something he was already doing.

"Bridge," he acknowledges, "Got it." His voice betrays no sense that he is anything but completely focused but he lacks the easy tension that a hardened military man might present. But Daniel's not a soldier, he's a tech, a systems wizard. He should be at home when he reaches the bridge. If he reaches...

He cuts that thought off too. Just the plan. Focus on the plan.

"We'll see if we can find some supplies too, but communication is likely to be the thing that helps us most here. I'll see if I can get the shipboard wireless up and running."

He takes a drink from the taps, making a face at the metallic taste, before forming up with Crystal.

"Okay Crystal, we'd better get moving. See the rest of you on the bridge."

Crystal listened to the guy explain that he wasn't on their side and then bit her lip. Did she trust him? She wasn't sure but she wasn't exactly certain of anything right now. No, no she trusted him. She wasn't sure why, but she did. There was a slight bit of recognition there but not much. She just knew that she knew him. Plus Crystal knew it was alright though, when Zora started introducing them. When she pointed to Crystal, she gave a little wave and a little "Hey." before Zora went into plan mode.

They were going to seperate now. Oh god, it was just like any horror movie. Whenever a group seperated, one pair of people always got killed. Hadn't they gone through this discussion?! Shaking off the odd cautious and paranoid nerves, Crystal forced herself to stay focused. She was not a baby, nor was she a scaredy cat. She was a strong black woman.

"Right." She said in response to being paired up with Dan.

After Dan took a drink from the water and told it was time to part, she only prayed that she would come back alive. She gave one weary glance at Zora before departing with Dan. It didn't help much that she had no idea what she was on this ship. She knew that she had to be more than just a passenger because of the key that had been around her neck.

How she knew, she wasn't sure.

Daniel Frost - Onwards and Upwards

Picking quietly through the dimly lit corridors, Daniel knows that Crystal is struggling. Not in a screaming fit kind of way. More a heightened nervousness from not knowing what's going on. He sympathises as he feels somewhat that way out himself. After a couple of hundred metres, creeping along using structural girders as cover, he pauses and motions Crystal to come close.

Whispering, "Look, there'll be major vertical access at fore, centre and aft of the ship. Probably some auxiliary stuff along the way too, but the main spines for ascending and descending should be at either end of this corridor."

He points up a girder, better lit by miraculous virtue of having two working lights in the vicinity.

"See the lettering stencilled up there? The second number is decreasing. That should mean that we're moving towards the bow. Just got to keep going 'til that's in single digits and we'll find lifts and stairs. The lifts will probably be out, of course, but stairs should be all we need. Right?"

He sounds terribly convincing. Almost like he knows his way around, knows what he's doing. He puts on his best leader-in-a-crisis face. "So, look, I'll lead the way. You keep an eye behind us. We'll be fine."

"Oh," he adds suddenly, "just in case." He pulls up the red security pass card he recovered earlier from a pocket in his jumpsuit. "Found this. Not sure what it's for, but, y'know, just thought you should know." He gives her a half grin, an attempt at reassurance.

"Best get going, then..."

Spec Ops

He watches as Daniel and Crystal leave the room, wishing them luck, no, he doesn't believe in luck. Well, there's another thing about him. After several minutes pass, he turns back and unclasps his hands.

"Best get moving." he says in a calm, though somewhat cold, voice.

They had barely stepped out of the adjoining chamber when he notices one of the pale forms in the hallway, crawling up the ceiling towards an air duct he hadn't noticed before. He steps quickly back into the room, trusting Dennis to stay quiet. Not so sure about Zora, as she had a nervous habit, he pulled her back with him, a hand over her mouth and around her waist. He again can't help that feeling of recognition. Looks, voice, hell, even the way she felt in his arms were all too familiar to him. He releases her quickly, as the monster had left.

He didn't exactly enjoy leading, but realized he would have to take the first steps outside. Was he the only one who kept his head during this? Pushing the thought aside, he leads the group out and down the hallway. After a few minutes, he waves Dan forward, as he had the map. He thought about Zora, whether he wanted to or not. He had a nagging feeling that they were more than friends, but can't tell. He laughs quietly to himself. It was a low, bitter laugh. He wasn't sure if the others heard him, but didn't quite care. She doesn't even know your name! He quickly collects himself and puts on his passive, no emotion face.

After all, who wants to be with the Spec Ops spook?

Dennis Graham

Dennis watched as Spec Ops, starting moving out then pulled back, taking Zora with him, his whole body language said that there was problems. He stepped back and tried to blend into the shadows, trusting this man who obviously was trained for to survive. Dennis got waved forward and he picked up the unused medical kit and clipped it back onto his belt, holding his lamp ready he followed the route that he had memorized. There was a cut-off laugh from behind him, but he ignores it, let the man face his own demons, Dennis has other things to worry about.

Coming to a cross he reads D4 on the wall, the intersection is littered with bodies and body parts. Dennis is starting to wonder if the D deck wasn't more of a pantry, where the creatures kept their food. A sudden revulsion grips Dennis and he averts his eyes, as he stepped forward his feet started to follow a route that they seem to know very well. Coming to a door Dennis read "Maintenance", there is a keypad to unlock the door and again it seems to Dennis as if his hand reaches out on it's own accord and type in a code, the door hisses open slowly and the lights inside blinks on. Dennis frowned, why on earth does this seem to continue happening? His body reacts without him being able to know what he's doing?

Stepping inside the well lit room he waited for Zora and Spec Ops to follow him, he hits a button and the door slides close again, looking around Dennis notices the lockers to one side, the one wall filled with maintenance tools and the other wall that has a detailed schematic of the ship. One thing that seems to not fit in is the military style crates packed in the middle of the floor. Dennis knew that this didn't fit in, it was not supposed to be here, looking over at the lockers he saw the hydrolic saw leaning against a locker.

"Hey Spec Ops, check those crates, they don't belong here"

Not even looking if he did as he was told, Dennis headed over to the drill, a soft step behind him made him look over his shoulder to find that Zora wasn't far behind him. He picked up the saw and pressed the switch, it whirred into action without a sound, lethal and quiet. Releasing the switch the blade came to a stop and Dennis looked at the locker it was resting against

"D Graham?"

Frowning Dennis opened the locker

Zora watched Crystal and Dan leave. If they were hurt Zora would have felt horrible about sending her friend (was Crystal and her friends. Yes, after all they been through they were.) out with only one other person and not with the spec ops person. Though Zora and Dennis and Spec Ops were going to get weapons. That's why the 3 of them were travelling together to get weapons. They needed to defend themselves.

It was their turn to leave. Zora was right behind Spec Ops when he stepped back, placed his hand over her mouth, and his arm around her waist. Immediately, Zora was pissed. She leads this team. She was commander here. He had no right. Wait! Was she commander. She had taken on a leadership role, but that was because she had good plans and a need for action, but was she more than just an officer was she actually the commanding officer here without the captain present?!

By the time Zora worked that out Spec Ops had released her and she made sure to keep step with him. "Don't do that again. I'm not some girl to be rescued. I can handle my own." Her mind flashed to when she had nearly lost it. She had almost had a nervous breakdown with this influx of information combined with the stress of trying to remember something or knowing you knew something, but couldn't remember it. But he shouldn't have known that unless he was following them. And if so how long had he been following them? Why didn't he make himself known before?

Zora decided to keep a better eye on the two men. She had trusted them too fast partly because she wanted to and partly because of some sort of inside recognition she thought she had felt. In any case she was second guessing herself and she did not like that at all.

They keep walking and without further incident make it to the D4 where Dennis does his thing. She liked watching his fingers work while his face held a look of confusion. It was interesting, fascinating. To know something without knowing it. When they entered it was hot as fuck in there. She felt her black wife beater tee cling to her almost instantly. As hot as this was she was certain they were close to the reactor and it would only get hotter the further inward they go. Though technically the reactore was on level F she knew it actually went through D's level as well.

Dennis gave some orders and as curious as she was about what was in the crates the tools were beckoning her closer. She walked closer and smiled as she saw a torch, but it had to be plugged into a wall to work. Still that could work. She looked around and saw a battery pack. She plugged the torch into the battery pack and it fit! She unplugged the torch and set the tools to the side. She also found 3 huge industrial flashlights that needed to be carried with both hands or with one while leaning back. "These should be useful."

Zora wiped the sweat with the back of her hand. She kept glancing from spec ops to Dennis wondering what both men were doing. Seeing Dennis just opening a locker she walked over to spec ops to see what he found in the crates.

(((FYI no guns, no swords or machetes or anything too powerful. weapons were crude and created)))

Spec Ops

"Hey Spec Ops, check those crates, they don't belong here."

"Very well." he replies in his usual cold voice.

He moves to the crates, instantly noticing most of them were already opened. He takes the lid off one of them. It had those stupid styrofoam peanuts that packed everything in, but nothing else. He moves to the next. Still empty. The next has several empty mags for the standard issue M9, but no gun or spare rounds. The final open one has weapons in it, but they are warped and destroyed. No good. He moves to the only two unopened crates as Zora walks over to him. He pushes his thoughts of her to the side and focuses on what he's doing. Not very promising. They are both small crates, no bigger than a laptop case. Prying the first open with his knife, he finds a couple knives much like his own. There's a start. He opens the second and finds four low profile, military grade communication headsets.

"Well then. These could come in handy." He says.

He sets those and the knives on the large crate next to him. He walks over to stand next to Zora. He raises his hand to put it on her shoulder, but catches himself and returns it to it's place. Instead he clasps his hands behind his back and turns to Dennis, looking to see what he found.

"Even the greatest leaders need a hand, Zora." he says to her in a low voice, with almost a hint of warmth. Almost.

Zora was so happy about the communication devices and the knives. She picked up one and placed it in her boot. She had given Crystal back her knife before she they left so having the knife back in her hand made her feel much safer. She nodded to spec ops. "Good good. These we could use." Zora looked back over at Dennis. She wasn't sure what he was discovering, but she didn't want to intrude just yet.

"So Spec Ops, got a name or shall I keep calling you Spec Ops?" It wasn't lost on her that his hand stilled itself. At first she wondered what he had seen or done. That suspicion came back, but as quickly she felt his hand on her shoulder. No, he hadn't actually put it there, but she felt it just the same. A memory with feeling? So she knew this man as well? Interesting.

In thought she heard his words and they felt so familiar like something he has said before and something that made her smile. Even now she felt her face pull into something that she hadn't thought to feel while down here. A smile. "Yes. Even the greatest fighters need a champion." Has she said that before. It just came to her. She felt the need to utter the words and thus she did. Though she didn't know if he would have felt the way she did when he spoke his words. She had turned to stare at Dennis and the gnawing feeling of terror was returning. A sixth sense if you will.

"We don't have all day. We need to go." Grabbing the flame thrower and a walkie talkie, clipping that to her belt, she walked over to Dennis. She wasn't sure what would be going through his mind, but it was time to go.

They walked silently for awhile. Crystal detested silence and no it wasn't because she was still as confused as she was when she woke up, it had to do with more than that. It just had to! As Daniel motioned for her to come closer she was dragged out of her own thought, with was a good thing.

"Look, there'll be major vertical access at fore, centre and aft of the ship. Probably some auxiliary stuff along the way too, but the main spines for ascending and descending should be at either end of this corridor."

Crystal glanced over to where he was talking about. He had to be the engineer, just had to be! Only a nerd would know that much about the ship. Even she didn't know that much, and she still wasn't sure what she was yet. "Got it." She said

"See the lettering stencilled up there? The second number is decreasing. That should mean that we're moving towards the bow. Just got to keep going 'til that's in single digits and we'll find lifts and stairs. The lifts will probably be out, of course, but stairs should be all we need. Right?"

Crystal could only stare at him for a moment. That was a trick question wasn't it? Plus, if they were trapped in the elevator and those things came after them...not good, not good at all. IF that did ever happen, she'd haunt Zora for the rest of her life and be a pain in the ass.

"Right."

She took the red security card that he had and frowned, she'd...seen this before. For a moment, she almost recognized it. Almost. "Okay, it should be handy for something. Thanks for keeping me updated." She returned his half smile with one of her own.

Finally, they started up the stairs.

Spec Ops

Zora asked about his name. Well, he doesn't know it, she doesn't know it, nobody else seems to know it. Was he really just a spook aboard this ship? He struggles again to try and remember. Nothing still. He silently curses his mind, and looks back over to Zora. He has that feeling of recognition again.

"I can't remember. No one else seems to know either. Guess I'm just Spec Ops for now." He replies.

Even the greatest leaders need a hand, Zora." An odd feeling, as though he said that before.

"Yes. Even the greatest fighter needs a champion." She replied with a smile.

He felt a ping off the back of his mind. He had heard those words before. He shakes off the feeling, and is instantly alerted by a change in her posture. He turns towards the door, but doesn't notice anything. She moves over to Dennis to hurry him in what he's doing. The Spec Ops throws a communicator to Dennis and holds on to the other two. He slips the second knife into his boot and makes sure the other in still in it's sheathe across the back of his waist. He moves in closer to the others and waits in a ready posture.

Dennis Graham

Dennis found coveralls like the one he was wearing, the name tags ripped from them as well, he frowned and noticed that the locker was a mess, or at least the things that was left, it seems like the locker was cleared out in a hurry as all the shelves were almost bare, just a few tidbits and parts left behind. Who would do this and why? This was the action of a sane person, not a monster.

He looked around as Zora aproached him, he couldn't help but look how the black tee clung to her upperbody, he almost felt guilty at the thoughts filling his head and then Spec Ops tossed a communicator his way, he caught it and was just about to close the locker when something caught his eye. He reached in and pulled out what seemed to be a small book, on the front stenciled in gold "PANDORUM" and under it "Use when ID Card is lost", Dennis flipped it open and stared at a face he is sure he saw somewhere, then it hit him, he saw the face earlier in the bathroom mirror, this is him! He read the name next to the photo

"Dennis Graham"

Something clicked in his mind and he realized this was him, Dennis Graham is who he is. Noticing a corner of something sticking out he pulls on it and pulls out a photo, he quickly pushed it back and stuck the book into his pocket. He closed the locker and picked up the saw, he turned to the other two

"Well now we know who I am, or at least what my name is and I'm pretty sure we know what I am since engineers uses Maintenance"

He chuckled and looked around, there was a harness along with the other tools and he went to pick it up and slip it on. Securing the harness he picked up a heavy hammer and attached the head to the harness, with the weight being distributed it wasn't that heavy. Turning to face Zora and Spec Ops he nodded at Zora

"I'm ready, let's get going"

Then his earlier thought popped up again and before he could stop himself the words were uttered already

"Did it occur to you that the D level could be some sort of pantry for the creatures?"
