As much as I would love to see the finns beat the american ol timers, I think it would be more enjoayable to see a Canada - USA final.

Canada - Finland just doesn't have that same appeal.

Talks broke down this past week when the NHLPA made a joke of an offer.. an even worse one than they presented last October from all indications.

The owners want a cap. The players don't. There won't be NHL hockey for a long while.. a year.. two years maybe.

Personally I hope the entire league has to fold. Fuck 'em all..

Here in Northern Alberta we have junior A, major junior and minor league hockey to take care of our hockey fixes.. let the spoiled brats kill off the NHL and return the game back to where it belongs.

Think they're at a stale mate right now. The two sides had a meeting earlier this week where the Players Assc's proposal was shut down. Right now no more meetings are scheduled. Doesn't look good for hockey.
