First of all, a pleasure. And now, tell me:

How long have you been here? Why did they join in the first place? Did you find something else? Why are you still here?
I'm curious. I've found a lot on this site and I see that it has quite a bit of history. Sorry if it sounds silly, but I really want to know.

Well, I guess that's all for now.

What's my join date? I think it was April of 2001. I think I was reading the forums every evening since December before that. I joined because one of the people I liked on the forums started a thread to coax the lurkers out of the closet. As it turned out, it was fun interacting with the authors and editors, not just reading what they wrote or posted. I found the woman I married. Yes, we're still together. I guess I come back for nostalgia. What I used to enjoy here was clever wordplay. That and discussions about sex or the latest SCOTUS case. It's not the same anymore, but I do see people here now and again and catch up. Back in the day I had non-virtual interactions with over 30 people whom I met here.

Here's my answer. You may find information about others in the same thread.

I don't even know how long I've been here. Guessing around 15 years?? Maybe 20? I stumbled upon the stories here first. Read them for a long time for arousal. Printed out a couple and read them to my wife as foreplay. Worked well. Somewhere along the line I found chat and pretty much left the stories behind. That was 2 or 3 formats ago. Remember the days of everyone getting booted off every few minutes? lol. Then I found the boards. I have a handful of threads I follow regularly, and some others intermittently.

Been here over a year, I guess. Initially just lurking, then found the conversations were spicy so I joined in. Actually had some very erotic chat, and discovered some additional aspects of my sexuality. Although I’ve only been with women, some of the guys are pretty sensual also and now if a nice hard cock presented itself, well, I’d be more than tempted to sample its sweet nectar.
I’m not judging, but also discovered that compared to the general Literotica population, I’m not as big a pervert as I thought I was. I guess for this population I’m pretty average in my perversions.
I like the interactions with people, women, men, trans and it’s also kind of a validation in a way, knowing that words or an occasional photo can elicit a sexual response.
Unlike the real world, the anonymous nature of chat results in a briefer and more transactional relationship with people. Almost like going to a sex club. A brief, sexually satisfying chat, then move on to the next person. No consequences like in real life. Not sure if that’s good or bad, just seemed a bit surprising at first but that seems to be the nature of Literotica.

I've been here since 2014. I love erotica so I was curious as to what this site offered. After a while I became interested in editing stories which I still do but I'm not as fast as I used to be. My username comes from an ex-girlfriend who I called tiger as she used to claw my back during sex.

I joined in 2002, so over 20 years. I came for the stories, wrote a few...

Back then there was not so much bullshit, as I remember. No endless threads of boring GIFs, but more user generated content. I was even lucky enough to meet a young lady from here in the early days.

I stay for the discussions, and for a few friends. I come and go, taking breaks when it gets dull, but always end up back here.

I think in real life (I'm quite deeply involved with the FET community IRL) as here, no matter how kinky you think you are, there's always someone else out there who'll trump you.

A semi naked lady in a dungeon last year opened our conversation with "It's quite possble to set people on fire safely". Her and her partner are into fireplay. They also do stuff with an angle grinder that scares me.
