Well I feel that, in most cases, every story betters the contest, if only by adding diversity. I'd submit it.

Hi all, I would like a few opinions. I finished my Nude day story and it is slightly over 24,00o words. Knocking out a couple of thousands words probably wouldn't make a big difference since it's long anyway.
Would you enter it in the contest or break it down into a few chapters and submit it non=contest. It has been edited and I kind of like it. It is in loving wifes.
Just asking what others would do. I like playing in the contests but I doubt if loving wifes ever won any.
Thanks

I once entered a 30,000 word incest story in one of the contests, don't remember which contest or under what name, but it did fairly well, probably because it was incest. I did receive a few comments that the story was too long and other comments that the story was too short (lol).
From one dog to another, in the case of stories, I don't think size matters (lol). It's more the contents.
Good luck. I shall look forward to reading it.
Thanks Ralph. I figure I'll wait and submit it. Geez! I hate waiting two weeks. LOL

I'd say something about the pot calling the kettle black but i wouldn't want to insult Freddie.![]()
Thank you.
Scabbies, you forget PositiveThinker, BOSTONFICTIONWRITER, CarBuffStuff, and WmForrester, who's I Love You Mommy with 765,000 hits was the most read story in all of 2010 and is presently #177 on the all time list and still climbing, up from 250th place in just 6 weeks.
Now, let's just compare my stories to your stories. Ah, but we can't, now can we? You only write juvenile incest stories, stories with no character development and with the same stale plot. I can't bring myself to write the shit that you write. I'm sorry, but I must write real stories that are believable.
I truly cannot see your point that I'm doing anything wrong by writing stories on a story site, especially when the owner, Laurel, has posted that there is no limit to the number of contest stories that can be entered in a contest. So, what's your point? Obviously Laurel believes that I'm helping the site and not hindering the contest.
Is it that you're jealous that you cannot come up with an idea for a story other than Mommy I Screamed or Daddy I Yelled?
See? Just off the top of my head I gave you inspiration for two new, albeit old and tired incest stories.
Listen, Scabbies, instead of writing true stories about your life and escapades with your blowup doll Gabby, why not try your hand at writing fiction? Release your mother from the attic, sign the papers to commit your father, untie your daughter, and teach your son that incest is not always best.
What I've done by entering the Survivor contest has made me a better writer by writing in so many categories. What I've done by entering so many stories in the theme contests have given me more exposure. Maybe I've missed something in your message and/or in the way you deliver it, but what have you done other than to bring this site down, embarrass yourself, piss off everyone, and annoy the owners?
I'm embarrassed to confess this, but I'm an accountant by profession and numbers is what I do. Did you know that I've already amassed more than 50 million hits or reads. I realize you eroneously call them sales, of course. Wishful thinking on your part, I'm afraid. Yet, whatever you call them, subtracting all the "sales" you've added to your stories, how many real hits have you amassed for your stories?
I'm approaching 1,000 stories with more than 6 million words, Scabbies. Not counting stolen graphics and the lunacy you post on the forum board, how many stories and words do you have? This is a story site, after all, and not a picture site.
I'm here to practice writing and be a better writer? Truly, we're not here for the same reasons. So, tell me. I'm curious. Why are you here?
I don't bother you or anyone on this site. I just write my stories. Yet, every time I post anything, I'm attacked. Is it because I'm so good and your so jealous that I'm your target?
Are you trying to ride my coattails (I can only imagine the graphic he'll post to this)?
People on this site have always taken their turn to take cheap shots at me from DanielleKitten, to SelenaKitten, to PrincessErin, to Todd, to you and others.
Why? Am I such a threat to you? Have you no life that you must continually make an ass of yourself by being such a little prick? Has your mother not taught you any manners? Besides being insane, what's wrong with you. Never mind, I really don't want to know.
I write stories. That's what I do. I dare say that I've forgotten more stories than you'll write in your lifetime.
Until Laurel asks me to leave, I'll be writing my stories the best that I can write them. Because I'm so passionate about writing and so dedicated in creating my stories and characters, I get better every year.
Good luck with your writing and I hope you don't fall off your rowboat from staring at your image in the water.
See, I'm not criticizing your writing, I'm just saying, you constantly bring in numbers and nothing but numbers. That's why I was happy to hear you mention quality over quantity, since it seems every other post mentions how many words and stories you submit.
I had to rescue this thread from the second page. Quelle horreur!
Does this mean I'm the only one still waffling about submitting a story? Or struggling with said story?
Please tell me I'm not.
It appears that if you are good, or become good or become widely read, and have a great deal of joy in your writing, you are subject to a potential meatgrinder of abuse.
Oh, by the way, my real reason for reading into this thread, was to understand, having never submitted on Literotica or in an contest, when it says nude, is that defined? ....Like, is naked with shoes nude?![]()
So the "nude day" story that I have in mind will involve, among other things, an attractive (isn't everybody, really?) mother who is nude in front of her son for a large chunk of the story. There will be sex here, there and everywhere...but there will be no mother-son action, 'cause to me, that totally wouldn't fit.
Regardless of the fact that they're both hot and that seems to mean they have to have sex. But they won't. 'cause, you know. It's not gonna be an incest story.
Do I need to say, up front, that there will be rampant sex without incest in the story? As an author's note or anything? Is that likely to get me reader rage, or is it more likely to simply seem like a spoiler?
