I'm jotting ideas mid-work shift so I can type and such when I get off. It seems to be working.......so far.

this happens at the beginning every year, don't sweat about it... they will go through a few glitchy days and then be fine for a while, then glitch again, then be fine... then glitch just late enough in the month to scare the shit out of us about being able to turn in our official word counts, and then pull it off by the end.

Well since it was down last night I loaded what I had up this morning. So last night I had 1865 words for yesterday, though they were submitted today. I'll write my today stuff today and maybe when I go to submit it the sight will be up.

the stories are not posted on NaNoWriMo, nor do they keep more than a 10,000 character (about 2000 word) snippet of your story on site... (aka, what you submit as a teaser IF you want to, it isn't required)

what you actually write about is completely up to you. No one on NaNoWriMo will see it unless you show it to them. in fact you never need to write in complete sentences, have plot, or even know how to punctuate dialogue. The idea is "Quantity over Quality" because the average writer never manages 10,000 words, let alone 50,000 due to their own internal editors or critics. For this month your writing can be total dreck, you have permission to write BADLY, because you just need to "write it"... figure out if it is any good in December
