I'm going to get my mom to join up- she's nervous as hell, and she's going to need a lot of feedback and support. Anyone willing to add her?

Add her?

Random comment personal life and NaNoWriMo collides...

My ex-boyfriend has challenged me for this upcoming NaNoWriMo.

Just for clarification--we've always been good friends, after we broke up, though we were always on good terms with each other, it took me quite a while to get over him.

When he sent me the 'challenge', he failed to let me know what his screen name would be. Just goes to prove how well I knew/know him, only took three tries; and I was able to add him.

I do have a leg up on him, as I get an entire week off from work during November.

To your friends list, groups, whatever.

Shows what I know. I didn't know there was a place to add "writing buddies" on your profile, lol.

I've got a few people on my list. Anyone else want me as their writing buddy?

I've got you, too. ;)

Excellent. With me as your writing buddy, nothing will stand in your way.

And by nothing I mean nothing that requires me to actually do anything about it will stand in your way. ;)

As soon as she adds me I'll find out how she entered it... damn her.

You have me, right?

When you view someone's profile right under their name on the left side it says "add as a buddy" and then that person is added.

I got you. :D

I'm signed up and eager to get started! I love NaNo! I love going over to my parents' place and light a fire in the stove and sit there and write, listening to the rackles of the fire, seeing the ink blots spread over my fingers, and feeling the weight of a dachshound's head in my lap...
Page up, page down, filling the white paper with words, painting images of adventures, not being able to stop. The writing becomes irresistable, like a tiny wound that you KNOW you shouldn't touch, but you can't help scraping it with your nails, yout tongue, until it bleeds, and the flowing of the blood fells like you've been set free, and the more you write, the more the blood flows out of you, and you love the feeling, can't get enough of it, and all through the day you do your chores, waiting impatiently for that glorious moment when you can sit down and write, write, write, flow, flow, flow!

Ehm... Yeah, I'm addicted to NaNo.

I'm wondering now if this spurt of intense muse-inspiration will last, or will it desert me like it has the last two years?

It'll be gone, I know it.
