I'm in for NaNo but I don't think I'll be writing erotica. Then again, we'll see where my mind takes me.
Good luck everyone!

Seeing the Literotica thread there reminded me I'd always intended to write some stuff for here. So here I am.
I write fantasy rather than straight erotica, but my characters do seem to always end up being such sexual beings ... like last year's, in which the oddball lovers that were intended to take a while to fall into bed ended up doing it inside six chapters.
Oddball, in this case, means one was a 42 year old undead female soldier and the other, an impossibly old female "crafted-person" (think robot, but in a magical/fantasy sense) with no eyes but impossibly acute hearing and ability to sense heat. Both of which abilities having erotic possibilities, of course.
I think I'm doing another one with them this year.
I'm going 2 for 1. 50K Erotica, and 50K straight non-fiction. Last year 1 managed 80K words in one story. 100K may be a little ambitious, but I've done all my prep work for both efforts - backgrounds, character sketches, research, so I should be able to hit the ground running!
Good luck to all.
Ooo... what is that, 3K a day for 30 days? It's doable... I may do that. Two 50K novels in a month.
JackLuis I think technically it is meant to be something new but I think as long as what you're writing is all new words -go for it. As long as you don't count what's alwready written i can't see the problem myself!
That's the way I'm going to look at it. I reread my story from last year and found it better than I remembered. I want to finish it into a novel and I think another 50k might do the trick.
Now if i can just find a lesbian that doesn't mind reading male writing on the subject to give me a hint if I'm even close.![]()
