I just saw a commercial on TV about this new(?) product for hair removal. It's called 'Nad's'. It's from Austraila and I was wondering if any of our Aussie friends know anything about it. Does it really work?

I tried the Magic Powder, but didn't get very good results. My skin was starting to burn a little, so I took it off sooner than was recommended in the directions.

There was a website that I went to and looked around if anybody wants to check it out: http://www.nads.com
Thanks.

I was wondering about it too

I saw that comercial too and was wondering if it would be safe for hair removal for women for their pubic hair. Also since I have very hairy balls, was wondering if it would be safe for hair removal on my balls. I would hope my girlfriend would like to use it on me. hehehehehe

Okay lets see if I can help here ...

I haven't actually used it, but it was designed by a lady that was trying to help her young daughter out, she was dark haired and she was looking for something safe.

I know that it is basicaly the same as wax, but there is no warming up of the wax. I had a test done on my leg at one of our (what you would call) Trade shows, and I have to admit that it came up extremly smooth, alot smoother than ever using wax.

It is fairly easy to buy over here and a pot is suppose to last a fair while. My advise is to try it and see how you go with it.

By the way, the strip that I had done on my leg lasted about 5 and a half weeks. But I also have to admit that I shave my legs daily.

Good luck and if you try it let me know how you went. :)

About the Pubic hair area I would say that it would be safe as there is no warming of the wax.

Ouch! May be safe for the pubic area, but sure sounds like it would hurt. That isn't an area where I want my hair ripped out by its roots.

Ouch. Actually I have my legs waxed (about every two months or so). See Nikki, just when you thought that you knew me. And it's a full leg wax, all the way up. I don't do for it sexual reasons like misunderstood gender identity or role play - I do it because I am a triathlete. All the same though, I do have smooth legs most of the year *laughs*

Who knows, perhaps I'll try Nads *wink*

My facts about Wax!

Sonora dear .. i have never seen the ad for Nad's but i would like to add my 2 cents ..

Like so many women do, I started waxing my bikini line in a salon. Each time I would go back I would ask them to wax me closer and closer. It was getting expensive too.

Finally I decided to buy a jar of wax (i nuke it in the microwave as per instructions) and cloth strips. At first I tried doing it myself but it was too difficult. My boyfriend was only to happy to help me out! Now my he waxes me regularly. He loves the look and feel.

Yes it hurts, but only for a couple of seconds with each pull. Then it turns red for about 24 hours or so. The results are so amazing though that I am willing to put up with a bit of pain ... come on Cheyene don't all of us women put up with SOME pain .. lol ... no seriously ..

It leaves me feeling so smooth and sexy and it lasts for about 4 weeks .. and the wonderful thing about waxing is that with each regrowth there is less and less hair plus the regrowth is softer.

btw I have never had any kind of infection from waxing but when I had tried shaving in the past I would be left with a rash. I know waxing is not for everyone though, but really don't knock it unless you try it!

Pubic Hair Removal, et al

I've also seen the Nads infomercial. One thing I noted was that the woman doing the demo used it to thin eyebrows. If it's safe that close to the eyes, I'd guess its safe most anywhere externally applied.

I definitely recommend NOT getting it on the flesh of the inner lips. That is far too sensitive I'd think.

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow

I've had some experience with a very effective hair removal approach. It's permanent, painless and effortless. You may have heard of it. Heredity? *g*

I havnt used nads but I've used a knock off of it "silky smooth"...it works great and the hair gets thinner everytime you use it. It is not nearly as painfull as traditional waxing & there is no redness afterwards.

Good god Slut_boy, I can't get your legs out of my mind... talk about your fixations!

Well, I woke up this morning and turned on the TV. Flipping stations, I came across an infomercial for Nad's. I figured it was a 'sign' so I drug my ass out of bed and ordered the Nad's. It should arrive in 2-3 weeks. I'll be sure to let yall know how it works for me.

Hey Dudley is that the laser removal system. THe laser burns the roots out leaving multiple blisters and other clit ticklers? At least with the Nad's you can eat it after you use it making it a envirmental friendly product.
Really the hair tastes a little coconutty!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm...

No, Ginger, no lasers or other implements of destruction. All you need is the right gene pool and eventually all that nasty hair falls right out. We are talking about heads, right?

I can't imagine that this product wouldn't work on hair in your nether regions. After all, it is called "Nad's", right? ;)

Obviously, this company did no marketing research before picking this name ;)

NADS? NADS? That's awful! Men everywhere must wonder why the HELL they'd want to rip the hair off of there.

heehee

Haha! Beat Payne to the punch(line). You know what the penalty for repeating a joke around here is, right?

<thinking hard to come up with something good>

ummmmm... ah, here it is. <reading from the Literotica bylaws, section 29, clause 7>

"any poster found to have repeated a joke on the same thread is obligated to suffer punishment to be determined by the author of the original joke."

Well, there you have it, Payne. Laurel and Manu have spoken. Get out the whipped cream and the riding crop. This is gonna hurt me more than it's gonna hurt you. ;)

ive never used this stuff but my moms friend did and she said it was very painful. it ripped the skin off her legs but left the hair. i dont know if its true since i didnt see it but i thought it might give you something to think about...

Isn't this a sugaring situation? Instead of a wax, a thick syrup is used. As it is sugar, it washes off fairly easily, and doesn't really need heating.

We tried something similar. It hurt, all right, but did do a good job of hair removal. It also wasn't as irritating to the skin as warm wax or normal depilatories.

Really?
How often did you have to reapply it?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :cool: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cause I'm the pink donkey.
It's like waxing in technique and results; about every five weeks.
Oh, so you mean it's like shaving without the nicks?
But can you write neat little phrases on your leg like you can with shaving cream? (Finds anything that foams can be hours of fun)
I use the Magic Lotion with extra cocoa butter, much easier then the powder and it is more gentle. No burning at all if you keep in on the recommended length of time. Magic Power did burn the first time I used it, that's why I went to the lotion instead.
I can't imagine suffering ANY pain from using wax or sugaring or whatever if there isn't any need for it. I'm not into pain at any level, so I use the Magic Lotion.
