Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas- Hunter S. Thompson

The Hitchiker's Guide To The Universe- Douglas Adams

A Captain's Log - Capt. Robert "Bob" Bartlett

Hello. :)

Do you mean in an educational time manner, or a sexual exploration, soft porn type manner?

Intrigued

Very good questions. I guess I would have to say the 3 books that influenced you most sexually, to become the person that you are today. Does that help to clear it up? Maybe this will. If you knew someone that was "sheltered" and wanted to enlighten them sexually what 3 books would you give them to start their jurney?

Thanks
Holden

The Sleeping Beauty trilogy by Anne Rampling ( yeah I know .... Anne Rice wrote them )

Our Bodies, Our Selves

And depending on what you are curious about : Screw The Roses, Send Me The Thornes.

The Story of O

The Joy of Sex, any version

The Joyof Lesbian Sex

Personally, I think that is it.

Wow. I feel you are almost speaking of "me", because I was that woman all my life.
Books that I believe shaped me in some way were mostly Jacqueline Suzanne's books, such as "Once is not enough" and "Valley of the Dolls". They educated me about things I never knew existed, and I'll never forget them.
My journey did not happen through books, most that I read were womens "fantasy romance" type stuff, but that did honestly shape me with regard to what hot and very intense lovemaking was about, and through the years as I began to heal and open my mind, I realized that love making was so much more than just saying I love you during sex. I've realized now that its about so much more, and can include anything at all that mutually satisfies you both, and is about honest, uninhibited desire. You can do any number of sexual acts, but if you do not really ache to do it, its nothing much. I guess what I'm saying is that you have to open your mind, dump all the attachments and labels we place on sexuality, and just explore it in your mind FIRST. Once you get to know yourself and what your triggers are, what you are capable of is endless. It requires alot of honesty and trust...you have to know that its OK if something doesn't do it for you, and you have to be able to say "nah".
Most of my exploration occured here, just reading stories, because I never left the story as it was...often thoughts went further in my mind, thus the seeds of fantasy were sown. When that happens, and you allow yourself to be totally open and honest about your desires, your journey begins....if only in your mind. Then its time to share all of that with your partner, its the only way you can make it reality.
My journey will continue the rest of my life. I want all that I never knew, and I want to go as deeply into it as possible.

Sorry for not answering exactly as you asked, but though I am an avid reader, thats not what helped me most. Research (mostly online, different websites) into other lifestyles, choices and such, just exposing myself to this world of sex and reading of others experiences juiced me up and got me thinking. That is where it's at...in the mind.

Let me know if I can help further, and I'll try to think of better titles for you.
