My latest: Steely Dan.

I'm becoming a completist. I must have every note. Was "Two Against Nature" that good? Why do two old White men with jazz sensibilities make me constantly tap foot?

Because Fagen and Becker combine surreal melodies with a backbeat and acid lryics. Showbiz Kids is a fucking classic

Cousin Dupree always makes me laugh.

Two Against Nature is a good CD.

I've liked them for some time now, but they have become dated, like so many things in my life.

Gotta agree with you, Rick, although the Katy Lied album is my favorite.

I've only recently "discovered" Steely Dan, myself. But I'm definitely not a completist. Just the greatest hits. Although I'm pretty intrigued by the storyline with "Kid Charlemagne." Which one is that one originally from? And I can really relate to "Hey 19."--not that I'm especially jaded.

And here's a question for those who have followed Fagen--I really loved that song "IGY--International Geophysical Year." ...what a beautiful world this will be ... what a glorious time to be free I still don't know where to find that song, despite a rather exhaustive web search.

"Kid Charlemange" is from the album The Royal Scam and "I.G.Y is from Fagen's solo album The Nightfly.
