Someone mentioned his ethnicity in a PM. To be clear, I don't have an issue with him mentioning it, in fact, I don't mind knowing!
This however made me wonder whether it matters to you, and do you have a preference, and if so, is there any particular reason.
There's probably no right or wrong answer, and this is not a judgemental (or racial/ethnic) question, just curious to hear from others.

I don’t have any preferences. I’ve dated outside my race (Caucasian) quite often. It’s never been a problem for me. In fact it’s been refreshing to get to know someone with a different perspective in life that is based somewhat in part from how they were raised or viewed differently by the world.

Agreed, it can definitely broaden one's mindset knowing other cultures and way of life.
At the same time, it's also fair to say that personal preference is a factor especially for relationships, so it's an individual choice.

Agreed. No judgment if anyone does have preferences. I mean, as a fetish might be a little less cool than just a preference but that’s another subject. What preferences do you have?

I know this is lit, and there are (too) many keyboard warriors around nowadays.
I normally try to send a reply as it's just the civil thing to do.
That said, I've learnt through the years that not everyone deserves a reply.
(Unfortunately, some don't take a hint, so they send again.)

Btw, I recognize your username as well as your profile. I think we've communicated before, possibly in passing in the forums. It's nice to hear from you again.

Oh I don't know about that. Women here are always popular, there's so few real ones, lol compared to the # of guys; lots of random followers; makes it easier to see when you're posting so they can message you; better chance of getting a response maybe. You've prob seen me post randomly here and there. I usually pop in, make a joke or comment and leave again.

Good question. No idea. I don't flirt or anything so your guess is as good as mine. There's lots of things that happen on Lit I don't understand though. But I agree, why follow in the forums if you're not gonna even attempt contact? It is odd.

You gotta at least read the drama threads though right? They're quite entertaining to read even if you don't participate

Well like I said I spend most of my time in the AH, there's a few threads there that are complete nonsense; a lot of humor and jokes going on. There are some that are filled with drama, people arguing about writing or how Lit works/ doesn't work for writers; threads on books or actual authors, story ideas, etc. but outside of that I read the cuck thread a lot. That one just blows my mind, it's not an interest, I just can't wrap my brain around it. There's some fun joke threads here as well.
There's a thread called 'You Absolute...' then you fill in the blank. There's a banning the poster above you, that's funny. I look at what the recent posts are, if I see something interesting I'll peek at it but not always contribute.
Otherwise it's just a random statement like I did here with you then I move on if no one messages. No biggie.

My point though was regarding authenticity in the absence of an actual voice or video call.

Rough. I'm changing the story- mood and tone, and it's going to be much longer, much more in depth. Basically taking a non serious fun story and turning it into a moodier novel/ novella, so it's far more complicated. Challenging but fun to do.
