looking to chat

Great! Thanks for sharing, and contributing a post here.

Question for you: why do you need to look for this? Feel free to PM iro this, if you'd rather not the whole lit-world read about it.

Right, I'd say the quality of lit chat rooms have changed over the years.

I might have noticed this forum of yours but don't think I've visited it, as I normally just pop by here a few minutes.
You've done well on it, it's less than a year and already double the number of posts compared to mine!! 😖🫣😊

Why not, didn't you just say (as extracted above) that you've found a few individuals? Sounds like they match what you're looking for.
🤔🤔
Thank you for your thorough and thought-provoking responses. I'll respond by PM.

This got lost in between other posts.

Anyone?
Hey there. Apologies for the break down in communication. Got hit with a stomach bug that had me flat on my back for days.....

To answer your previous question about where I would love to travel to...Indonesia, Phillipines and Malaysia, oh and Turkey are probably my top 4 at the moment.

With regards to your question above...well I unfortunately cannot really comment considerintmy chat age....but I can take a stab at it if I put my what if hay on...

There are all sorts of people here, some are positive some a quirky and some can be down right mean from what I have seen....I guess how you handle it would depend on how personally you take things and also what is said....I know there are a few things that even if I don't know you and you say that to me I will get pissed

Are you all recovered now?

Any particular reason(s) for these 4?

Very true. We can't change what's happened, however, we can control our reaction. It's not always easy though.

I know there are a few things that even if I don't know you and you say that to me I will get pissed
Fair point. What are some of these, for you?

It's been a long week, and while I'm tired, I'm also getting bored, so here's a bump for the weekend...

Would you care to share your most exciting sexual adventure?

Let's hear them! 😀

Sex on the kids' trampoline in the middle of the night with no fence in the yard. It was always very dark in the yard when there was no moon. Very fun!

Nice, Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻

You've published many stories that have received good ratings, I'll try to check them out over the weekend.

I don't know if you ever answer your own questions or not, but do you have a most exciting sexual adventure?

Hello again!
Good point, I guess I haven't necessarily done so - at least not in the forum, as the (few) back n forth chats are usually responding to those that posted. Also, nobody asks me haha.
That said, if a conversation moves to PMs and there's compatibility, then I'm more encouraged to share.
It's been a tiring weekend, and a busy upcoming week.
I haven't had time to read any of your stories, even posting here (as you can see) has been delayed.
I'll PM you when I find some time.

In the meantime, have a great weekend.

as the weekend comes to a close, open to chat about things

My friend, weekends are supposed to be for relaxing and fun!

I look forward to your PM.

Hellooo!

So, let's share some positives: what went well for you this past weekend?

It’s a great question! Saw my Dad and brother which was great fun. And I’d booked tickets for my other brother and his family to go and see a theatre show which they all really liked, so that’s a wholesome gamble that paid off :) As well as some credit in the ‘good family member’ bank :D

In the meantime, what, if anything, has gone well for you?
Had a good day at work today - so very cold outside that nobody wanted to get out to come bother me. Enjoyed a family birthday party on Saturday.

There's been struggles as well. I'm trying to focus on the good because the not good seems to be taking too much of my time.

Haha a quiet day at work is good!
Glad you enjoyed the party!

Exactly, it's to try to focus on the positives, ie: to have a change of mindset instead of dwelling on the negatives.

Later today (hopefully), I'll send you an article I came across a few days ago - I think you'll like it.

Sounds like you have a good relationship with your family - this is not as common nowadays in today's world. Good for you.

So I read an article that talks about a "psychological trick" - here's an extract:

One question.

“What went well this week?”

Your brain has something called the Reticular Activating System.

It highlights what it believes is important.

And what tells your brain what’s important?

The questions you repeatedly ask yourself.

Ask:

“What’s wrong with my life?”

Your brain becomes a problem-detecting machine.

It will find stress.
Threats.
Failure.
Reasons to feel stuck.

And when your brain is constantly scanning for problems…

Your nervous system stays on alert.

More tension.
More stress.
More fatigue.

But ask:

“What went well?”

Your brain starts scanning for something different.

Progress.
Support.
Opportunity.
Small wins.

Your nervous system relaxes.

Sleep improves.
Recovery improves.
Energy improves.

Not because life suddenly became easy.

But because your brain stopped assuming everything was a threat.

So try to ask yourself "What went well?"
Eg:
“I had a good conversation.”
"I went outside."

Tiny things.

Your brain keeps score.

And over time something interesting happens.

You stop scanning life for everything that’s broken.

And start noticing everything that’s still working.

Your brain is always searching for evidence.

The question you ask determines what it finds.

******
So...

What went well for you this week? 🌿
