looking to chat

I hit the "Post reply" button too soon again.

To answer the original questions:

1. Have you ever met a lit-ster?
If you did, how did it go?
Yes, see above. It was AWESOME!

If you havent, would you?
In a heartbeat!!!

2. Guys, if you send a PM to a woman, are you really expecting a reply or is it "no biggie" if she doesnt send you a reply? How do you feel?
I know not everyone is going to reply, and it doesn't help that the notification settings havenot been working for me lately. Some people just don't reply.

3. This probably happens with both sexes, but since I generally chat with guys, my question would be: why do guys lie when they chat online?

I'm not sure why people do that, insecurity, fear of rejection, the need to impress, I don't know. Being an older swinger and in the lifestyle, if you're thinking of ever meeting, it's never going to work. Don't do it.

4. How has your experience on lit been? if you have any particular experience you'd like to share, please do so.
Lit, or other users on it, have been good to me over the years. I enjoy escaping to fantasy role plays, and ge one face-face I've had...see above.

5. Since I'm from South East Asia, have you been to this region? No
Yes? Please share where you've been and what you liked/disliked about it.
No? Well, if you could, where would you go? I'm thinking about a cruise in the next year or two around Southeast Asia.

Why that destination? I've been told Vietnam & Thailand can be fun for us older white men...

6. whats your best experience from lit? this could be anything from a story (tell us which one); a litster; a voice; a picture; something new you learnt about yourself; .... etc etc.
That face-face meet at her hotel...see above.

7. tell me about yourself and what you'd like to chat about.
I enjoy ongoing taboo role plays, where we develop our own characters and collaborate on the setting and the general storyline together.

8. have you ever been to a lit gathering?
They have these? Where? When? If they ever have one in Southeast Asia, I'm there!!!

Thanks for contributing.

There are many "bama" usernames here. (I'm aware it's in reference to AL.)
Just don't see as many other states being usernames. 🙂

Question for today:
Why does someone randomly "follow"?
🤔
Possibly a shy person who wants to let you know they're interested, maybe someone looking for friends, maybe they are interested in you and want to save your profile so they can interact with you more.

Some people are too timid to say hello.

Somehow these dont seem to apply to most of the strangers that have hit the follow button, it's not one, it's many, and it's been happening over the years. At times, it gets stalkerish.

Anyone else with some insight?

That is strange, then.

I am baffled. I have no other ideas.

I stretch my imagination and the above is the best I could come up with.

I usualy hit that follow button then i find the profile description interesting.... I do not always contact them, just following, watching their posts to see their attitude on the forums and them maybe DM them.

I see, at least you have a purpose and contact them, though there's still the underlying stalker-ish vibe especially when there's clearly no similar interests with them.

And I don't think we have any control over that in the settings, whether to remove or limit them from following/"watching"... anyone know?

I don't find it "stalkish" to be honest.... If someone wanna reach me in DM i can choose to answer or not. Same goes with my messages.... the person in DM chooses if she wants to answer to me.
I have followed you, i can't see your profile, in order to see your interests, but haven't DM you, because i figured out that in order to have your profile "no-show" you probably are not interested.... all it takes is some common sense... (But please do if you want!!:))

Based on your previous post, you stated that you follow someone when you find the profile interesting, yet you now say you can't see my profile, so I'm wondering what made you follow me.

For the record, my earlier comments were NOT in reference to you personally, just in general.
One can check out a member's posting *history* without having to follow, though I'm not sure if that's also tied to profile visibility.

Don't think so. I believe all you can do is put someone on ignore so you don't see their posts. This came up in a thread a few weeks back. However you can report someone to the forum mod if they're bothering you.

Thanks, that's what I've thought too, it would have been ideal to be able to do so. I've changed some settings but this then applies to everyone, so that's also a bummer.

It is. And it sucks that people suck so bad. Take care, wish you well.

Peace
