But the day after, are you still who you want to be?

Absolutely...

I am committed to loving and accepting that woman every day. Life is a one-shot deal. I am making the very best of it, and making the very best of me in the process.

Saunters through, citation book in hand. Nope, nothing to worry about here......for now

Stepping out of bounds a little here.

No, wait! Just touching my toe on to the other side of the line for a brief moment...

I love the way you saunter through your thread. :rose:

Strolls over to the Pollock piece hanging on the wall and tucks it under my arm. It appears that abstraction may not be fully appreciated ;) Makes note: keep things direct and literal. :)

I hope everyone survived and enjoyed Halloween. It's a day, much like Lit, where we can be anything we want to be. But the day after, are you still who you want to be?

This is quite a question for a Saturday morning. One where some of us may be a bit hungover.

I'll answer slightly abstractly: I wouldn't want to be anyone else anyway.

I didn't dress up, unless you count gong in my work clothes as dressing up.

Halloween.. Meh, I can take it or leave it. I'd rather get the candy 50% off today anyway. Lol..

I hate when I inadvertently post a yes/no question :)

*grins*

We don't have Halloween here, but we do have carnival and that lasts five days. Despite me being hoarse and tired like a mule after that, I do feel the same as before.

Half price candy?!?!?

That sounds like an easy road to a chocolate binge!
I know!!!!!???!!!

psst...hey babe...*opens up trench coat*...I got a mega fuck ton(6lbs) of Reese's and a stash of Kit Kat's for $15...;) meet me behind the Kroger and I'll show you the goods..

Don't tell Chained.. He'll probably try to dose us all with insulin...

I like any opportunity to dress up in costumes -- I am a big fan. I like that in costume I can feel less like me and more like my character. That doesn't mean I am in denial about who I am or that I don't like myself. It does mean that I have a creative imagination which I (and others often) enjoy.

I don't have to wait for Hallloween to put on a costume either.

Reese's!?!?!?!?!?!?

*dashes to the back of the Kroger*

Looks as if we've had some guests around these parts. Are we a welcoming society, able to look at someone and not their baggage or do we let the sins of the past color them permanently?

At first i did not welcome as i remembered my time there two years ago. I am now dipping my toe in, testing the waters. ...carefully.

*deep sigh*

Well, for the most part, I'm welcoming.

Some of it, just seems mean. Again, not hearing inflection or tone, it's difficult to gauge the level of sarcasm with much of what is posted over there in the Netherworld.

If it's all in fun, it's one thing. If it's designed to be a sparring match where one side "comes out on top", *thinks*.. I don't know how I feel about that.

How would we meet new people if we weren't welcoming?

I try not to judge a person's past. If I worried about past sins, I'd never be able to face myself in the mirror.

The mess last night was not a friendly visit. There is a thread on the GB where they discussed and planned the invasion, then used it to give each other 'high fives' when one said something particularly snarky. A few seemed to genuinely be having fun here, but most were having fun at the expense of the PG regulars. They were being asshats, bro.

^^^^^ SEEE??!?!?!!?
I don't have time for that shit.

It's one thing to have fun...
It's another thing ENTIRELY to have fun at the expense of others.

Makes me sad and pissed all at the same time, and I liken the majority over there to the kind of kids who poured the pig's blood over Carrie...

And then I think, Karma will kick you in the ass..so I try to just walk away.

The majority of them are arsewipes with a Superiority complex. Let them have their "laugh"

I didn't read every single post on every single thread that was started during the GB invasion, but from what I did read - it wasn't that bad.

Did they make fun of some of the threads in the PG? Yes. But we have our share of dumb threads around here. Were they snarky? Yup. Did I laugh more than a few times while reading? Yup, again.

Personally, I hope some of the threads they started survive. And it made venturing over to the GB a little less intimidating - for me, anyways.

Viva la crossover! :D
