You know what's weird about my cat? He loves to be waiting in the bathroom when I get out of the shower. Super purry and winds in and out of my feet. Then the weirdness happens. As I'm standing at the vanity, combing my hair out or whatever, he jumps up on the vanity and walks back and forth in front of me. Repeatedly. If I don't give him proper attention, he starts head butting my boobs. And then that's too much weirdness for me so I have to boot him out.

I went to bed, had a nice sleep, did some laundry, cleaned the kitchen, did some more laundry, made breakfast, and did even more laundry. Now I am waiting for it to dry.

Nice! Mine just jumps into the shower when I get out, walks around, licks a few drops from the walls and then, when she has enough of that, winds through my feet and puts her (wet!) front paws against my thighs. She also loves to jump into the laundry basket when I am sorting the laundry and defends what is still in it.

Freedom, we all relish it. From the freedom we discovered as kids riding bikes, to learning to drive, to becoming adults and making the decisions we want to make, to yesterday in here. Yet somewhere inside of us we all enjoy the comfort of parameters. Some more than others.

What freedom at lit is most important to you? Is it the anonymity? Is the preponderance of sex based topics ? What should they never change about Lit?

I've come close to pulling up and leaving Lit altogether quite a few times. But never was it for something the forum owners did or didn't do..

I'm not quite sure what would have to happen.
I tell you what would be a nice feature, though.. a grammar checker built in to the text fields. Not that I need it ( ) but I think others would benefit.

I like my freedom of expression. If I had to be boxed in to an "either/ or" way of responding to people, I might get miffed and leave.

It's not like I get distracted or any....

They're free to post without ridicule. And if you go to the Fetish/Sexuality subforum there seems to be a lot in the way of kinky stuff going on there that you wouldn't normally be able to talk about at your neighborhood dinner party.

I think "the freedom to be free" is a bit redundant and repetitive . Either that or I just don't understand. I would think it would fall under freedom of expression.

In answer to the original question of what things they should never change on lit....I think it's the way the forum is basically a free for all. Anyone can post anything. Threads can be started by anyone and topics can be added at will. While there are monitors, most everything is acceptable. It makes for a very interesting site that keeps me coming back just to see what's new.

As for Brad's comment about the Fet & Sex section: it is good that folks can share their kinks, though once I realised my favourite kinks were completely vanilla, I was a bit disheartened!

Change? We mentioned Iggy recently and other more sophisticated sites can make someone vanish from your cyber world - they can't see your posts, you can't even see them etc. I don't think that would work too well in convos and maybe it's better that litsters learn to settle their differences?

I guess what we have today is an evolution of tried and tested formats and rules. If big changes were needed I'm sure they'd happen.
