*whips out her titties*

nope.... I'm a female...

:D

The key word is, assume. Until my spidey senses or proof directs me otherwise. It's all irrelevant (to me) anyway unless there is cyber going on.

We can all be who we want to be today. Maybe today I'll be a virgin gymnast! :D

No thanks on the virgins. A new broom sweeps the floor, an experienced broom gets in the corners. ;)

... and I'm female ... wanna cyber? ;)

yeah....that.
Urm...my Spidey sense sucks sometimes.

When I first started posting in the forum, I recall a "woman" who messaged me about some political views.

I answered, friendly enough, then in conversation this "woman" finally admitted to being a 54 year old man who liked to come in and pretend he was a woman because it was easier to get women to respond to him that way...

Then, goes on to ask if I'd be willing to explore in more detail the aspects of D/s...

On one level I was thinking, how pathetic this guy felt necessary to do that..

On the other I'm thinking..WTF? Why ... On earth... Would I even consider "exploring" a paper bag with someone who couldn't be honest upfront with me?

My memory is unfortunately "elephant accurate" too.

Very unlikely to get a second chance at a first impression with me...

This brings to mind a “person” who messaged me recently. They had newly joined the board, made a few posts, but never actually interacted with me in any way. The first PM I received described a short scene detailing what she’d like a guy to be doing to her body. I was a little…surprised, but responded nicely and pointed out, that while I had no AV or profile, I was, in fact, a woman.

She responded with another short scene, adding that she realized I was female, but just wanted to share her frustration and desire. Ummm, okay. I tried to direct her to more appropriate, or a least more receptive, channels, but she kept PMing. I eventually just stopped responding.

The whole thing felt...weird, and kinda creepy. I post enough that a little stalking would disclose my interests and gender and I’m still not sure why she(?) chose to PM me, but it was very...odd.

RA's post makes me wonder if it was a guy pretending to be a woman to establish a connection. If so...not any less odd. And infinitely more creepy. :(

You just ... know. There's a 'woman' who posts regularly on other threads and we started PMing - just fun chat stuff and then... meh... hang on, this doesn't feel right. There was a lightbulb moment then after that I stopped replying. I could be horribly wrong but... nah - you know.
Why do they do it? Please don't get me started on the patriarchy - I can get so boring talking about it, but I feel a touch of it coming on  ( private consults always available for those who wish to rant ) :D

I don't know you, we've never chatted in any thread or in PM but it's so easy to look at you and know that your love of flourless shortbread cookies clearly defines you :)

If someone were in a long term, committed relationship and started having physical or sexual attractions for a different gender they were accustomed to, they might be looking for place to explore.

Online, on a forum such as this, would be a place to start. Faceless names, people to try and communicate with and convey these thoughts and ideas they are having. They may feel the need to hide behind a false persona as they struggle with the reality of the emotions and thoughts they are having ... it could also be a 15 year old boy needing an outlet of a different sort.

The creep factor is certainly there and having them assail you as they did would certainly be a problem and unhealthy.

The problem is trust and honesty. Folks are free to create whatever persona they wish in profile or post. When used for manipulation toward their own selfish goal, that is not right. When used as a tool of exploration of an unknown they discover about themselves, I can see it. Most are honest with their profile and the ones that are not are typically uncovered easily.

I think you did them as much service as you could pointing them in the right direction, Endless, more than most likely would have. If they get creepy after that, you need to cut them loose.

When the lights go off, everyone's the same age. ;)
Younger, older, about the same...just give me life experience.

When the lights go out, he or she can be technically correct in your pursuits, but life (not just sexual) experience will determine the quality of the encounter. ;)

Yup. I prefer to go for nice, but if it feels too weird I'm gone.

Darn it! No AV or profile is supposed to weed out the crazies.

I kinda agree with this.

I suppose I'd just add that the use of it to explore is one thing. I happened to have a very good back and forth with an older man who wanted to express his sissy side, and we wrote together accordingly. The co-authorship ended because I didn't feel I could write well enough to his needs. It had nothing to do with him actually being a sissy... more that I didn't feel like I could help him really.

What made him stand apart was the fact he didn't lie about it. He was open and upfront, and honest about his needs.

It really boils down to honesty. I think if more people were simply honest about what they wanted...they would get a lot more out of Lit, and they can still be anonymous. Just instead of lying about being woman or a man, say, "I'm a man, and I have fantasies about being used in such-n-such a way..."

And post it in the areas you will most likely get a considerate response.... Like the GLBT threads..

That is also key.

It baffles me when you see people go into the BBW thread and then say stupid shit. There have been several times that it was just a good thing I wasn't anywhere near a poster....I'd have likely tried to physically remove his head from his shoulders...

Deception doesn't fly with me.

If you're married, say so.
If you're a guy wanting sissy play, say so.
If you're a girl wanting to be treated like a filthy whore......um...post in the Personals maybe ?

Hello. My name is George. I'm unemployed and I live with my parents. (Seinfeld )
Well, see, George, the fact that you want to explore your sexuality does not bother me.

It's all that other stuff that sends up red flags as to whether or not you are socially evolved.... :rose:

Free-for-all Friday, and the thread is buried at the bottom of page 2, with a 3hr gap since the last post? Where's the stamina, where's the creativity, where's the lawlessness I expected?
