If someones PM box is full do you get a notificatiion to say as much?

If so, there are some very impolite people around here

There are some impolite people around. I don't remember if you get a "Full Inbox" notification if the person you addressed your PM too has a full inbox, but you do get that notification if their inbox is set to only enable PMs from persons on their "Buddies-list" or if they disabled PMs completely.

I know right? But in case your wondering my in box is not disabled

I have a question. It's simple, and could easily elicit some snarks in the responses...but
I'm wondering~serious inquiry here~ why do men use women as their avatars? I'm not talking MtF because that makes perfect sense to me. You are now a female, and a female is most definitely more appropriate ((((hugs to Sticky )))

I'm talking about the men who are men....the hetero-not-even-close-to-being-curiously-bi- men who use a woman as their av.

Is it the aesthetic? Is it purposely being deceitful? I'm just curious. Not judging.

Always assume everyone is male, always. Everyone.

Also, there's a word women use around that irks me to no end, it's not calling anyone specific out, just the word, it's just immature to me. But to reveal that would just be catty.

I can usually tell who has me on the iggy when they ignore me in a game thread. If they don't, they just have bad manners and skip, and therefore should put me on iggy anyway.

Lit obviously has a great number of people visiting it. There are main forums and sub forums. The organization is necessary due to the volume of people. One thousand people cannot have one group discussion and thus small groups are created to plug into.

Recently, some folks not typically on the PG reached out to me (and vice versa) and we've become friends, which got me thinking (always dangerous) ...

How often do you mingle between forums? Are you a strict PG'r or do you blow where the wind takes you?

I go where the thread looks interesting, not necessarily where specific people are.

Yes, you get a notification that their box is full and your message will not be sent.

Iggy 'em!!!

Yes, you get a notification if your PM box is full as to whom attempted to message you.

Please remember people have real lives and while folks on Lit are real friends, we do not always have as much time tending to both fairly.

Full Inbox.. *wistful sigh* ...if only ;)

Amen. I really dislike being chastised for not returning pm's. If you know me well enough to be in my inbox, you should know my RL comes first and that it's often too crazy to warrant a quick pm turnaround. In addition if I disappear, please don't take it personally.

It does tell you if someone's inbox is full also.

*checks* No, I'm female! :D

I'm curious about this word now....

You mean this isn't real??

Can't be, I have seen men use that also, lol ;)

Or maybe it is a word that men have used but is only bothersome when women use it? I am so confused!:eek:;)
The only men I know who use it are doctors
"Can you pop your things off?"
"Can you pop up on the couch"
"I'm just going to pop this in - try and relax"

I'm always suspicious of men who pop :D

Is-

"Can you soda your things off?"
"Can you soda up on the couch?"
"I'm just going to soda this in - try and relax"

- any better?

I'll pop in a DVD, but that's about all the popping that goes on in my vocabulary.

It's a coke. I don't care if it's a Pepsi, all carbonated sugary beverages are a coke.
