Depends. I've started a few relatively controversial threads, ruffled more than a few feathers, don't really care either. My opinion is just that, mine. Your opinion is yours. It's only when you start trying to convince me I'm wrong that you'll poke the bear once too many times. I'm very interested in others' opinions but that doesn't mean I have to agree or disagree with you. It's relative. Now, when things are based purely on fact, I'm more than willing to be convinced.

Example for those who need one:
FACT: Vinegar and Baking soda react together to form carbon dioxide gas.
this is a fact and can not be disputed

Opinion: It's fun as shit to mix the two together.
This is NOT a fact, rather my opinion, and if you try to convince me otherwise, you'll either annoy me or I'll ignore you

:D

I am curious as to what happens when you mix them!

Starting to wonder if Rubes is really Bill Nye the science guy?

Today's topic I think is a bit of a rehash on a topic from a long time back. It's on length of posts. While it may not seem like it with my rambling topics, I'm a big fan of brevity and conciseness. I would rather see 5 separate one line posts than 1, 5 line post. And I reLize some topics require a more lengthy reply based on the nature of the post.

I'm curious, does anyone ever concern themselves with the length of their post or does everyone just post.....

Nope.
:p

See what I did there? ^^ answered two of your queries in one, fell, four-lettered swoop. :D

Nope. I'm gonna write what I'm gonna write.

Yes! I know that I have a tendency to ramble, so I try to be more concise. In the background, I'm often editing my posts and removing redundant words before I submit them.

Of course, the appropriate length of a post depends partly on the topic. Some of the Playground threads demand single-line (or even single-word) answers. On this thread, I don't believe that three paragraphs is excessive. In a "how to" thread on a complicated subject, a helpful reply might run to several pages.

I was going to write a third paragraph, by my internal editor has just stopped me. ;)

Not really. On both accounts.

I don't usually worry about it, but I do try to not ramble too much and get to the point. I realize some folks here are on their phones, and that can make a long post look even longer.

I admit to skipping over posts that are too long, on occasion. Sometimes my brain just can't handle it.
