For those lurking in the shadows trying to gleen wisdom, let's take a look at Serene's "hey you " post.

For starters, it's clear she knows Matthew, this is not the time to jump in and quote her.

Next, if she doesn't know him, acknowldegment in the room isn't an automatic invitation to PM

Last, good use of the emoticon, clearly letting Matthew know the hey you was friendly and not a command to "get off my lawn"
