Could be any number of reasons - from making the requester feel loved to reinforcing that those particular requests are the ones more likely to elicit a response, possibly even to show to others that the thread is actually being utilised and encourage more posters...

I'm not sure, is it ironic that the thread discussing proper litiquette is breaking the previously mentioned litiquette guidelines? Thread jacking, improper use of emotes, breaking in between two posters in an obvious attempt at cock blocking without waiting the full five minutes, a bump by the OP of an obviously dead thread. I for one am appalled at how far this fine thread has slipped. I even think there was a PM sent amongst all this chaos. And what you did to that milk cow. For shame!!!! Why would someone want to make remarks about your AV. You pick what you want your AV to be. The people who have made the bad comments about yours because they are jealous. Betty Boop is a classic figure. Bring her back.
