1) You may still have messages in your "Sent Items" box. In your "Private Messages" area, in the "Jump To Folder" scroll, select "Sent Items". Delete as many of those as you can.

2) There is currently no way for a story to be listed under two writers. You can either 1) post it as one author's submission and add a byline, or 2) make a separate author account - i.e. "Author1 & Author2" - and post the story under that account.
