I stumbled onto LIT from the Wifelovers.com site. Someone there mentioned LIT so I thought I would check it out for some stories. What passes for erotica on most sites doesn't do much for me. I like stories of real life encounters and it is pretty easy to spot the fake ones. Although most of the stories on LIT are like most others on the net there were some good ones that caught my interest. I then started looking through the treads and became very interested in a couple of the women and I followed their postings and eventually started exchanging PMs with them. That is the best part for me. I find real people's real lives fascinating.

I'm not addicted to LIT because most of what is on here is pure adolescent gibberish. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the members were actually teenagers because I can't imagine too many adults that would find page after page of one line or one word messages that are supposed to be a conversation like; "how are you?", "I'm fine", "good", "missed you", "you're so hot", "you're too kind", "I'm horny", "I'm undressing you right now", "oooo, I like to be undressed"... blah, blah, blah.

Now if LIT had more quality and less of the same people over and over again hijacking the threads then maybe I would be addicted to LIT. I do like it enough to realize that it could be addicting which makes me keep my usage under control.

I first came to Lit for the stories, as many of us do. I had no idea that these boards were even here until one day when I decided to thumb through the personals . .
My reason for joining was to talk with other people who were going through some of the same things as myself and hopfully to learn something.
I have done that and also have met some wonderful people.
I admit, I also like to post. I think its fun. To me, it is much easier to get to know someone on the threads where there is less pressure then it is through PMs or IMs. Sometimes I find those scarey.

I'm not arguing with you or making fun of you... I'm just explaining further.

The problems that I pointed to were not just in the playground but in the general board and amateur pic forum and just about every where I have. To me it is just a matter or rudeness. People start some wonderful threads only to have them hijacked before the end of the first page. If you are going to exchange 40 postings back and forth that have nothing to do with the content of the thread then take that to a chat room or something.

Basic manners, or rather lack of, is a problem in America today and it is even more lacking on the internet where people are anonymous. Of course the lack of basic common sense is also a problem, which is directly related to lack of manners.

A basic unwritten rule that people, not to mention adults, should follow without having to be told to do so, like keeping their mouths shut in the movie theatres: Don't hijack other people's threads.

You like the mindless gibberish and I don't, so you obviously find LIT much more enjoyable that I do, and well may be addicted to it. I wish I found it to be as interesting as you do.

BTW, I have found many of your posts very interesting and always read what you have to say and show.

Sorry to hear YOU have come across people that just post the "gibberish" in which you speak of. I consider myself fortunate that i have met real people with real conversations. Sometimes it's fun to goof around, and i do my fare share, however, the people i talk to on a daily basis here pretty much have lots to say other than ooooh's and ahhh's and how are you's. If the stories are not what you're looking for or they don't appeal to you, maybe requesting to hear real experiences might help or maybe finding a site that suits you, and your quality standards.
Sorry your experience hasn't been that great.

Anyway, When I am working in the winter, I dont have a lot of time to be online.
During the day here I find that I put laundry in, log into Lit.
I do dishes, refresh Lit page
I vacuum, refresh again

I find some of the people to be very interesting and I find that a lot of posts make me laugh. I like to laugh. I do have a real life. I dont spend hours and hours at a time here, but log in for short periods throughout the day.

I live in rural Iowa, where people here are so uptight and have no time for a woman like me. I find they have life long friends and dont welcome new people well. So I need somewhere to escape and talk to interesting people. I like tlaking about sex. Its an interesting subject and it never goes out of style.

I do visit other types of message boards. I am a member of Ivillage, ESPN, and ABC.

This board to me is a lot more interesting. It has more board movement then the others.

I can usually tell if I am interestedin a thread by its title

I originally started exploring lit for the stories, I love erotica...then I started lurking on the boards....and then one day I completely connected with what someone had confessed. On that day I posted. From that day on, I have been hooked. I guess the big thing for me is that I can be very vulnerable here, but yet somewhat anonymous at the same time. I am able to express myself freely without the fear of judgement. I have made many friends, have had many laughs, and have had some very pleasurable moments *eg* as well here. But I would have to say that it is the "connection" that keeps me coming back.
