I think I should paint the walls green here and get curtains hung. And bring a few cacti in..
 
I actually looked up woodenstreet beds and that's a nice piece to have and own. Can be considered a day bed or a futon...or something similar.

A sofa-cum-bed is a very good idea. You would want one with a good wipe-clean surface though.
