Where’d you get those peepers?
Where’d you get those peepers?
Samsies.Omg…I haven’t thought about those books in years. They did not hold up well in my last attempt to reread some. But they hold a nice little shelf in my memory.
But did the people on the other side hang a towel to prevent you from peeping on them?I have not seen anyone peeking back at me yet, thankfully, but I may have hung a towel on it juuuuust in case.
It was very convincing satire. Luckily, I did read the small print, so you didn't catch me out
I totally missed the fine print, the emojis distracted me!I did read the small print, so you didn't catch me out
I love this post from top to bottom.Oh wow I actually know the answer for this!
In the late 90s/early 2000s, some mid-range hotels in North America were trying to cater to the growing “pet-friendly” travel trend.
They didn’t yet have kennels or in-room crates, so they put what they called “courtesy tethers” (basically fake knobs or short posts near the doorframe). Guests who needed accommodations were told they could clip or tie the leash there inside the room if they had to step out briefly.
It seemed harmless at first, but staff started reporting problems: startled pets bolting out the door during housekeeping, little paws getting injured, or guests coming back to find their very frazzled friend. It was a liability nightmare and the practice quietly faded out by 2010.
So if you see a random doorknob or hook in an older pet friendly hotel, that’s probably what it’s from. Even cat-people were writing letters about it at the time
this is satire![]()
What illustrator? AFAF.“I’ll get myself a nice coloring book to unwind “ I thought. “A fairy themed one— oh one of my favorite illustrators made a coloring book! Perfect!”
Um…not exactly what I expected but hey… this will be fun!

Trung Le NguyenWhat illustrator? AFAF.
That is quite the range!Trung Le Nguyen
He has a wide range of work from graphic novels, children’s books, prints, and tarot cards. Oh, and apparently exotic coloring books! He also goes by Trungles, the name of his site.
