Yeah there is an easier way.

All the data entered on this site is stored in the database. For the life of me, I have nio clue why PMs are not read in the admincp by default. Everything else can be read (except passwords because they are using MD5 hashes but they can be changed manually when editing users), and one has to go to vbulletin.org to get the hack to install to read the PMs people send to one another.
