I'm not sure that is the meaning, it may be just a maybe just a good let in on the summary line so that the thread gets read. In this constantly changing world meanings become blurred as each new ggenreation puts a different spin on words and phrases.

I haven't paid that close attention to this, but if what you think is true, I am indeed disheartened. Above all, I pride myself on being a lady at all times, and I don't take the meaning of the word lightly.

It saddens me to note that I have actually met only a few females who would fall under this category in todays time. It seems what society in general deems attractive behaviour for women is not parallel with the actions of a lady. Perhaps I am wrong, perhaps I am pinpointing one fraction of our society and disregarding the obvious...however, I think perhaps in the bulldozing of the "feminist movement era" some of the truly unique and attractive qualities us women naturally possess have been marred or forgotten as we donned our army boots, tore off our shirts and demanded our due....just perhaps.

I use it because "women" just sounds too plain to me. "Ladies" seems to imply beauty.

Sunstruck...to each their own. I'm just tired of the whole "I can be a bitch if I want to" routine with women. For me, it's time to get back to wholesomeness and avoid brash and brassy.
