It's a good thing the Mayans aren't around anymore...

But, Mayans are still around, and, like intelligent white folks, know that today is not Mel Gibson's day.

Dolf has been sharing some interesting things with me as of late. ;)

Merry Christmas.

Ten miles from Arkham I had struck the trail
That rides the cliff-edge over Boynton Beach,
And hoped that just at sunset I could reach
The crest that looks on Innsmouth in the vale.
Far out at sea was a retreating sail,
White as hard years of ancient winds could bleach,
But evil with some portent beyond speech,
So that I did not wave my hand or hail.

Sails out of Innsmouth! echoing old renown
Of long-dead times. But now a too-swift night
Is closing in, and I have reached the height
Whence I so often scan the distant town.
The spires and roofs are there - but look! The gloom
Sinks on dark lanes, as lightless as the tomb!
... for those with siglines off.

So are Egypt's pyramids. Which means no more than that it woud be almost as much trouble to dismantle them as it was to build them.
The Arabs tried to dismantle the smallest of the three at Giza, but gave up.

They only managed to make a big gash in it.

I wanna know what a lobster fart is. Is that a lobster that farts or someone that eats lobster and has lobster gases coming out.

I'm betting the Mayans make decent molé.

Mmm now you have me craving it thør. I've had some great mole in Mexico. Okay I'll admit I tried to make it once and bought a jar of that mole sauce from the store. Thought I could doctor it up. I kid you not, it tasted like dirt.

I've had store molé that's okay, but never great. Never had molé south of the border. Had some terrific stuff in AZ.

Several times I've had it when I've gone to Puerto Vallarta. I don't think think I'd ever try to make it myself, it takes like 89 ingredients and a lengthy process.

I want to know why lobsters taste like heaven.

They're just crustaceans.

Because they are sweet, rich, tender bits of yum in your mouth. Have you ever tasted abalone? It used to be very plentiful on the Cali coast and then a moratorium was put on them for scuba hunting. I don't know if it's been lifted.

If that is pounded and tenderized just right...oh, food of the gods.

This is off topic.

This thread has clearly run off into the weeds.

Have I ever tasted abalone??

Omg.

I used to scuba dive.

We'd be on the boat for four days, and abalone was all we ate.

Abalone for breakfast, abalone for lunch, abolone for dinner.

And seafood is more relevant than molé? Nice to hear of another abalone lover. Oh I can taste it right now across my tongue.
