Is This How They Did It?

I watched it. It was great and was the most plausible explanation. Aliens did not build the pyramids

The architect guy actually seems to have determined a perfectly reasonable, and scientifically probable, explanation as to how a bunch of very determined fuckers from 5,000 yrs ago built the Pyramids.
I watched it, and I don't buy it.

Do this! Build a model of a pyramid and A. try doing it the architects way, and B. try doing it your way.
The main reason for his theory being wrong is that he himself admitted that the 50-ton granite blocks couldn't be brought up through the spiral tunnel he imagines is there.

They had to be hauled up the side of the pyramid.

Think about it.

If they could figure a way to lift up 50-ton blocks like that, where's the challenge in lifting 2.5-ton blocks the same way?

I understand the debate correctly AND I have some experience with engineering problems. The 50 ton granite blox woulda gone up the grand ramp, then continued up a collateral ramp to placement above the chamber. I'm thinking the chamber was filled with sand to bear the weight of the granite blox during erection, then removed. Sand is kind of a super-viscous liquid when you consider its properties.

What "grand ramp"?
