If not, then

Why do they have "Women, Infants and Children" vouchers and no "Men, Infants and Children" programs?

Why the "Violence Against Women Act"? Why isn't there a law against violence against men?

Why do men have to sign up for the Draft and not women?

Why are men required to pay more for insurance than women?

Equal protection? For who?

Do you guys really think you're ever going to get laid spewing all that servile "chivalrous" bullshit trollage that you're typing up right now?

Being a gentleman has gotten me laid many, many times. Being a dick never has.

Okay, I'll play for a while, since the GB isn't so fascinating right now. I'll start by saying that I agree with you generally, but I think the dialog is interesting.

1) Because at the time that WIC was started, the vast majority of people who required the assistance were one of those three things. You don't do surgery on the healthy, right?

2) Because when that legislation was written, the vast majority of victims of rape and domestic violence were women.

3) I don't know, and fuck that. Women should have to sign up for the draft, or no one should.

4) You know this, ya dope. The same reason that 18-25 year olds have to pay more for car insurance. The insurance industry is a numbers game. Old people with cancer die more often than elite class endurance athletes. If you want to make a living selling insurance, you gotta charge the old ones more. Men are a greater insurance risk--testosterone toxemia--than women, so they cost more to insure. Insurance companies pay out more on them, so they charge them more up front.

5) I t has worked for me in the past, but I'm old enough now that the "opinionated curmudgeon" thing is getting results.

My question is if "all men are created equal" why are homosexuals not treated equally.

Actually there have always been a lot of men who required that kind of assistance. But historically they were tossed aside.

While it's a far fetched possibility that a man could get WIC vouchers (I doubt it, though), even today, it is a vast understatement to say there's a shortage of men's shelters for homeless men. No one cares about men in distress the way they do about women in distress, and the Government's laws itself even reflect this.

2) Because when that legislation was written, the vast majority of victims of rape and domestic violence were women.
Actually, violence against men by women has always been widespread and even documented.

Women, however, are almost universally engaged in a bitter pitched battle to keep these facts suppressed. It's downright breathtaking to watch the reaction of women when the true stats of domestic violence come into play. It ain't purdy. You'd think, by the time the smoke clears, that they were defending their right to abortion or to vote.

Watch how they respond to what I just wrote. :D

3) I don't know, and fuck that. Women should have to sign up for the draft, or no one should.
I stand for the "no one" exclusively.

You're condemned at birth to this, however.

It's kind of obvious that if you want to pay less you'd be better off having a girl for a child.

And the advantages of having a girl pile up dramatically when you switch away from the subject of Government laws to the private sector and social mores. I brought up insurance rates as one example of a social/financial advantage of having a girl child, but here's more:

a) Chivalry. Men are supposed to be the ones who hold open doors and do all kinds of stuff for women, not vice versa.

b) Emergencies. Women are the first ones rescued from an emergency situation, even to this day.

c) Alimony. Women receive the vast majority of alimony payouts even though 30% of women earn more than their husbands.

That's just the short list.

But for today I'll just stick with the inequalities in the law. That's enough to make plenty of Litsters see red with rage at me for pointing it out. :D

I agree with the generl thrust of what you're saying; most of these things are weighted toward advantage for women. Have you been kicked around yourself, or are you just morally outraged and crusading? Or are you just stirring shit up?

As far as the draft, we don't have one at the moment, just registration. Is it a necesary evil?

Homless shelters for men? Is there a need for specific shelters for men? My experience has been that men do fine in coed shelters.

Outraged to the nth degree.

I'm hoping this beast of hypocritical sexism is slain before it decides one day that it wants to kick me around. By then it might be too late.

Pastor Niemoeller is my role model.

That's like saying Mt St Helens isn't a deadly volcano because it isn't erupting. The Draft is inactive, it isn't dead. The term "Sword of Damocles" comes to mind, and with Dubya and his Yeehaw style of foreign policy, the fact that this sword hangs over the heads of American men, should be of serious concern.

Homless shelters for men? Is there a need for specific shelters for men? My experience has been that men do fine in coed shelters.
But there are specific homeless shelters for women. Why is that?

BTW why is it ok for women to cry about how they're put upon by evil sexist America, but it's wrong for men to point out discrimination? As I said... equality is pretty much a cartoonish joke as I've seen it in action.

I mean, you could at least make this challenging. Back in the day idiots like you were at least good for a couple posts of insults. You're so lazy it's almost sad to keep on insulting you.

But, I'm a trooper, so I'll remind you that you're a virgin, women hate you and you're something of a douchebag.

Come on, Weseal. Post some more of your pathetic tripe and show us all what a servile sexual reject you are.

You poor groveling manservant. I'm engaged and my fiancee' just moved in with me. I get laid all the time, by a human woman, unlike you.

You know what your problem is? You spent your whole life serving women and doing things at their whim and what did you get out of it? Nothing. That's because you lack any balls.

All you're going to say in response to me is more useless tripe that you hope will preserve your status as a fucking foot slave for women. Baaaaaaaaa. I oughta shave the wool off your back.

While I'm sure you have a very committed and fulfilling relationship with your hand, I'm pretty sure you won't be allowed to get married to it.
