Why do so many people say that?curiositykitten said:Not that anyone will necessarily notice, but I will be "out" for awhile due to surgery on Monday - not looking forward to it! So I may be away from the keyboard for a week or so, but will be writing stories with a pencil - what a novel idea! Look forward to catching up when I return!![]()
.) I hope Trinique is getting along. (Did she make an appearance here as an alt?) Neonflux - I hope you're doing OK. Best wishes to Kbate as you take a baby sabbatical -don't be gone too long, please.

to all of you.Roxanne Appleby said:Why do so many people say that?
You're kind of a newbie, but believe me, someone will notice, and that's one purpose of this thread, to allay unnecessary concern.
Yay.curiositykitten said:Point made & taken - THANKS! I guess as a newbie only here a month, it seems that many of you have been here forever and know each other very well. But you have all been very welcoming! I appreciate your acknowledgement!
And HI Trombonus - I noticed you!
And I noticed you too. Kinda proves Roxy's point even more huh. Who are you?Trombonus said:What about those of us that are "in" and no one notices?
Just kidding![]()

Can you think of anyone who should be mentioned here?Trombonus said:A fly on the wall?

Who hasn't been around? Not off the top of my head. Then again, I've been mostly lurking the last week or so.Roxanne Appleby said:Can you think of anyone who should be mentioned here?
Yeah, but I mean people you used to see around but haven't for a long time, like weeks or months.Trombonus said:Who hasn't been around? Not off the top of my head. Then again, I've been mostly lurking the last week or so.![]()

It's a general question, not just for Trom - who is missing? Who should we worry about, and who would you want to know that they were missed? Not just those high profile individuals who have big personalities (or big mouths), but those who are more laid back or soft spoken, and just as valuable as individuals, sometimes much more.
Trombonus said:Don't think I'm going to be around the AH much for a while. I'll probably be lurking, but I wont post. I'm truly sorry for everything, and I hope people will be able to forgive me. Sometimes even the best intentions can go wrong, and I need to accept the consequences for my misguided actions.
Sorry guys...I'm out.
I agree with the first. If you wronged an individual, apologize and ask for their forgiveness. It's more likely that you have blown up some imagined or minor peccadillo far beyond what it deserves. (I can speak because BTDT.drksideofthemoon said:I don't you've done anything that requires forgiveness.
I think you do need a break from here though...I think you need to focus on what is important in your life, and not on an online forum. Good luck.

Trombonus said:I'm sorry guys. I'm embarassed, and worse ashamed. Whether directly or indirectly, and intended or not I cause feelings to be hurt. I'm quick to forgive others, but not so for myself. I feel stupid, and whether or not it's true, I feel as though I've worn out my welcome for the time being. I'm simply too ashamed to show my face in places where certain people post regularly. I probably wont be comfortable posting there for a while, at least not until I know that people aren't mad at me. Though people have said they aren't mad at me, I'm still convinced that they are. Perhaps I'm being too hard on myself. It wouldn't be the first time. I just can't face people right now.

Roger that - cop a plea and throw yourself upon the mercy of the court in the juridiction where you think you offended. Odds are, you'll be amazed at how willing the jury is to let you off with either a mild thrashing - "whipped and cleared" - or a warning, or verdict of "not guilty." In fact, odds are you will make those involved feel good about themselves, and grateful for the opportunity to be magnanimous (assuming there is any real offence, which is dubious.)curiositykitten said:And Trom, please don't be so hard on yourself! I've read through some posts, trying to understand what could be so bad and just don't get it! People talk - and are responsible for their own comments. Perhaps I'm reading the wrong threads, or not understanding the issue, but give yourself a break - you've been nothing but kind and had no ill intentions that I have found! So put on aand if necessary, just
. But don't disappear again.

Hey, we all make booboo's, it part of being human. If everytime you made a booboo you ran away and hid you might be missing the best parts of life. So don't think any of us feel ill toward you still, it happened, it's over, time marches on. Life it too short to hold grudges or to feel badly about something you did. We're all past it, so you should be too.Trombonus said:I'm sorry guys. I'm embarassed, and worse ashamed. Whether directly or indirectly, and intended or not I cause feelings to be hurt. Welcome back.curiositykitten said:MEEOWCH! Hurting some, but I'm back - at least periodically. Can't sit very long at the computer and am quite drugged - kinda nice, actually! Thanks to those who missed me!
