Being a Scorpio myself, I know all about that. If you talk to Ari before I do, tell her that I hope that she's doing well and sent hugs. I tried to contact her yesterday, but no such luck.

It's a difficult situation. There are so many things I want to say about the situation, but I'm not going to. We still talk on a regular basis and she is still one of my closest friends. Just understand that she is happy, and whether we agree with her decision or not is inconsequential, because it's her decision to make. That's all I'm going to say on the subject. I would rather be an asshole, and save her life, than see her go through the things she WILL go through. Trust me, if she hates me, it's a small price to pay to keep her safe, and not watch her go down the road she's headed. I've been there, and I wish someone had done that much for me.

Because, for all your "Here I Stand" pronouncements, she's going to do what she's going to do, and whatever it is, it will no longer be affected by anything said or done here. So your pronouncements are meaningless. Meaningless as far as Ari is concerned, that is. Maybe they make you feel good.

As I said, I would happily trade my own license to make judgemental pronouncements in return for having that smart, loveable and virtuous young woman back around here. My life is a little emptier and sadder for her absence, and I know I'm not the only one.
