I thought it was hilarious, but everybody doesn't have to like the same thing. Lots of little jokes really landed for me: The portal to Barbie World being on Venice Beach. Ken thinking the patriarchy would involve more horses. Weird Barbie. Alan. The Skipper incident. My job is "Beach". The way the Barbies manipulate the Kens into fighting among themselves. Comedy gold.

Idk. I've been stuck on 'gritty' shows for a while now. If the Kens did a butt fucking instead of fighting scene, then maybe.

I just saw the movie. I agree with much of what you say. The movie brought Barbie into the 21st century. The many small jokes and the personal growth of Barbie make the movie very unique.

That may explain our difference of opinion. I hate gritty. I try to only watch escapist fluff.
