Went to the Y today.. talked to my trainer ..

*weigh in this morning at 8:30 am*

I'm down a total of 20 pounds.. (since Xmas)

walked 5 miles...in much less time than when I started...

went up 20 lbs on my Nautlis exercises (arm and upper body) (i'm up to 60 lbs on some.. 80 lbs on others)

and I started on my Nautlis exercises for legs...they started me out at 60 lbs.. but i think it's to light.. i'll talk to him about more tomorrow..

I'm not sore today..:)

*pats self on back*

I lost so much weight

Be careful, we don't want you to disappear.:D

Cool! I thought that you might have discovered.....

that you had a huge clit. A penis-like clit. Making you a she-dude.

Ya know, Freaky, they say the best form of exercise is "sexual aerobics".

Whaddya say? ;)

Sparky.. great to see you playing on the board again.. I've missed your wit. :)

Desdemona- thank you..

Mensa-trust me.. In order to disappear.. i'd have to lose alot of weight ;)

plasticman33-wrestling sucks.. wanna fuck instead? :D

Congrats, freaky! I am so thrilled to hear that you're losing weight the healthy way - through exercise, not miracle pills. It may take longer, but you're ensuring that it will stay off.

*raises glass of skim milk * Here's to a happy, healthy Freakygurl!

Congrats FG! I'm so happy to hear the good news :)

Now if only I could get my lazy ass out and excercising- now that I've got a second job, I don'r have as much of an opportunity to work out at the gym at my primary job.

Which Nautlius exercises are you doing right now?

Are you going for muscle tone/endurance or trying to eventually bulk up a little?

If you want to get the best bang for your buck in a work out do some light swimming first and then medium to light weights.

Swimming does wonders for your heart and lungs. It is way better then running or walking could ever be and you don't have to worry about impact injuries or stress fractures.

bluespoke... thank you.. the title was an "attention getter" not a put down on myself.. thanks for the words and the flower

Mischka..Thank you.. but I'm still using the pills.. the herbal ones... along with healthy diet and exercise.. The pills do help with the energy and the depression I've been fighting. (hell all that i'm doing is helping with the depression). I've talk to my docter and my trainer.. I can be on the pills 90 days then I must go off them.. to a differant herbal combo.. Put the damn skim milk down.. that is one thing I haven't changed.. i don't use skim milk.. 2% is low as I'll go ;)

SimplySouthern.. I thought you'd never ask.. my place or yours?;)

Minxy.. Thank you.. I had to make time for the exercising.. i'd much rather sleep than get up.. but working two jobs i can see where you wouldn't have any extra time to do it. You won't work two jobs forever.. you will have plenty of time to exercise later. Plus.. from what i've seen.. you don't need any exercising ;)

Azwed.. I do swimming on Mondays Wednesday and Fridays.. I do the Nautilus exercises Tuesday and Thursdays. It's a program that the trainer (and docter) put me on. I have a bad knee and we are working on getting it strong again. It's going to be a slow process.. but slow, they say is better. I'm overweight (atleast 70 pounds more than i "should" weigh). I'm not trying to bulk up.. I'm trying to lose years and years of excess weight. The bulking up will come later.

I walk at the local park on Saturday and Sundays.. it's a nice 5 mile walk around a lake.. me.. the dogs.. sometimes my kids. It's relaxing and exercise at the same time.

I meant nothing disparaging about your use of pills as a supplement, and it sounds like you're using them in a balanced way. I was referring to the constant stream of fad diets (48 Hour Hollywood Diet! Lose 30 pounds in your sleep! Eat cheeseburgers to lose weight!) that guarantee instant weight loss without any effort.

*grumbles about the skim milk* But I like skim milk. (I can't stomach anything higher.) In the spirit of compromise, however, I'll grab some iced tea instead. :D

That sounds like a good plan they have set up for you. Now that you have lost some of that weight your knees should start to feel a lot stronger just from the reduced strain. I have to wear neoprene braces when I run and whenever I get above 220 my knees give out sooner. I have to keep my weight down in the 210-200 range to run any kind of real distance.

Freaky.
i've been exerciseing alote, if you think it's not enough... don't up the weight yet up your reps,
then when you do up the weight do less reps

i know you weren't disparaging (good god.. big word..I don't have many of those in my vocabulary ;) ) the pills i'm taking.. :)

Iced tea works.. no sugar.. lot's of lemon

Azwed.. I broke my knee cap.. about 15 years ago.. I didn't do anything about it.. it' "healed" incorrectly..hopefully i can strength it now.. so i don't have to have the knee replaced later.

*about my above post*

I can spell.. really.. I was just in a hurry and busy..

making chili.. attempting to yell at my dogs (barking at anything that moves).. getting on my shoes and finding my purse (so i can go get my daughter) and posting at Lit isn't working

Fly.. but I didnt' have to put any effort into the leg exercises.. there should be some effort to it.. or it's not doing me any good..
I could do a hundred reps.. but with to little of weight.. all i'm doing is moving the muscle.. not strengthing it (atleast I assume this is the way it would work). Like I said.. I'll talk to Chris.. and see what he says.

*pats Freakygurl32 on the back*

Thats great. On Sept 11 in NYC I weighed 300 pounds. Mind you, I was powerlifting at the time. My back hurt like heck. Since then, I got down to 229 and feel great. Now all I do is run, walk and have sex.

Awesome

I lost 15 since NY. Now, to gain a little back with lean or I'll just be a skinny dude. I just came from the Y. Feels great! Good job!
