The following comes from one of my brothers currently in harm's way

I am a Marine fighting for my country. I was not sent here against my will. I did not join up for college money, or free housing. I joined to fight. I did not jump blindly into my choice to serve. I knew damn well what I was getting into 11 years ago. I believe in the War on terror. I believe that Saddam needed to be taken out. I believe in ALL of this shit. I believe in it enough that my unit is not even out here. I am a volunteer augment to another unit.

I know the sacrifice I must make for my country so that others don't. I also fully back the decision to "invade Iraq". I am not the only one. Every other Marine here believes so. So how could anyone possible support us but be against everything we believe in? Everything we stand for? Everything we DIE for? So I say

"Citizens, don't pick me up off the deck, wipe my wounds, and then tell me the War is wrong. I don't need that. If you feel inclined to assist, please do. I would be grateful, if you had to pick me up off the deck and wipe my wounds, that you just point in the general direction of the son of bitch that knocked me down. Thank you America."
