I'll be glad when the election is over.

I remember checks and balances. I know that the President is the one who votes to pass or vito bills, but Bush is not really much of a leader if he has to depend on everyone in his cabinet to make the decisions. What's the point of having an Executive branch if the Executive who suppose to lead his country has to rely on others? I see nothing wrong with the acasional need for advice, but he spends most of his time at his ranch and he doesn't watch television.

I don't think Carey is much of a leader either, but one of them has to be President.

If McKane had won the primaries last election, I would have voted for him. I like him, I think he is a great leader.

Darlin' ... i'm going to be gentle.

If you think any President since Theodore Rex hasn't listened to his cabinet, even on matters of minutiae ...

sigh ... i don't have the heart to do it.

What's the point of having a Cabinet of advisors if you're not going to listen to their advice. They're there to study the issues and advise the President. Allthough the ultimate authority is his, they're there to do a job, whether they do it or not.

I'm not arguing that he doesn't spend too much time away from the office, but don't beleive everything you see on Farenheit 9/11. It's an interesting movie, BUT, IMNSHO Moore is spinning the facts as badly as the current administration.

I'd talk to a few Arizonans before beating McCain's drum..

I thought I would try putting the quote I was referring to in my post, but I'm not sure if it worked out right.
Anyway, that's true, that is what the cabinet is there for. It just seems like he depends solely on them and he goes along with whatever they say and doesn't have his own authority or opinion. I know it's not always what it seems, it just appears that way.

If he created such bad feelings in his state, imagine what he'd do for the country.
He's opinionated, and doesn't weathervane.
  • My answer to her ... oops, he still got elected by someone in the state again.
  • My answer to the "Gore got ripped off" crew ... oops, fuck you and your hanging chad.
  • My answer to everyone that bitches four years from now ... oops, you had Crackups and Milkduds ... enjoy your snack.
If you want to complain about your elected officials, pour your soul into the campaign of the candidate in which you believe. Otherwise, STFU and drive on troop.

Snatches the chocolate and glides away ...

This is NOT a rant but, Remember a little movie called The Blair Witch Project? It was marketed as a documentary. It made big bucks for the creators, but it was just a hoax. It's very easy to "spin" (i.e. manipulate the thoughts of viewers) in the movie biz. It's done every day. And, it's especially easy when you are spinning the word "documentary".

Footnotes...
Oh, the creators of The Blair Witch Project? They kept the money.

Michael Moore for president? His heart has GOT to be worse than Chaney's.

Ah, but it's a humorous ridiculous! That's a lot different than just ridiculous.
