Perhaps, but most of those were bred in the Federalist Society,A lot of judges do indeed grow to believe they are the law, and their desires are paramount.
See post #72, #69, #50, and #46.Arrested judges who broke the law covering for people who also broke the law
Remember, Dems, no one is above the law...Except if their last name is Clinton or Biden, right?
What, like quoting yourself somehow adds gravitas?See post #72.
Lie.My point about judges was non partisan.
My god, it's almost like it's possible to believe that some judges should be arrested and not be a Trump supporter. I'm going to guess you're one of those people whose politics are a matter of religion and not a reasoned stance come to through actually thinking through the issues. It is wrong that so much of America treats judges like they sprang fully armed and armored from the brow of zeus, and are also magically pristine morally forthright people. They already, by and large, think that about themselves without your help.
A lot of judges do indeed grow to believe they are the law, and their desires are paramount. That's wrong. Breaking the law isn't excused by wearing a black robe. If you think that thought can only be thought by people in red hats, you're giving too much credit to people in red hats and not enough to everyone else.
Maybe try having politics beyond "trump sucks"
He does suck, but there's more to life than hating Trump.
Literally no one ever said that. And no matter how much you hate Clinton and Biden, no Trump supporter has any business complaining about anyone else getting away with flouting the law.Remember, Dems, no one is above the law...Except if their last name is Clinton or Biden, right?
Yeah that's not why they're getting arrested. You'll note nobody arrested the guy that ordered the return of the prisoner flights. Nobody is arresting any of the judges who ruled against the current administration. The state court judges who have been arrested were arrested for helping aliens evade ICE. IF they did that, then they should be tried and convicted, not treated like martyrs.Sorry, but it doesn't matter which spot on the Left/Right political spectrum you are on. If judges are getting arrested for opposing the people in power that's authoritarianism. And who gives a flying fuck where on the political spectrum authoritarianism sits?
Also, why are we still using the boarding arrangements of horses to decide on political stances?
Nobody should be arrested for that! The state court judges who have been arrested were arrested for helping aliens evade ICE.
moron.Lie.
No they don't, ESPECIALLY for a judge. Too bad they aren't hanging offenses.Of course 1) the seriousness of the law in question and 2) the motives of the arresting/prosecuting authority have bearing on this case!
It's no better to be the kind of Democrat that falls for Republican propaganda, which is effectively what you've done in this thread. She was not arrested for helping the guy evade the law, she was arrested for not doing ICE's bidding when they hadn't followed due process.I'm a democrat. I voted for Biden twice. I would have voted for Hillary if I was old enough. Don't be the kind of leftist twat that makes everyone who disagrees with them their enemy. You're like a parody of a democrat.
You do realize that makes no sense at all?No they don't, ESPECIALLY for a judge. Too bad they aren't hanging offenses.
Thanks for the world's dumbest take. Sometimes I feel like our side wants to lose so fucking badly it hurts. "Everyone who doesn't agree with me is a republican/putin sympathizer/nazi" is just the flip side of the maga "everything I don't like is woke" coin. It's no better to be the kind of Democrat that falls for Republican propaganda, which is effectively what you've done in this thread. I agree (and have been called every name in the book by people I agree with 95% of the time as a result). But that's not what happened here. What did happen is that I explained what really happened, and you still saw me saying "anyone who disagrees with me is a Nazi" when that is nowhere near what I said."Everyone who doesn't agree with me is a republican/putin sympathizer/nazi" is just the flip side of the maga "everything I don't like is woke" coin.
Tell me you know nothing about me without actually saying that! I could just as reasonably jump to the conclusion that you supported someone like Tulsi Gabbard or Joe Lieberman for president. You do sound like the type.I know, you suffer from the delusion that only one opinion can be had and it is yours,
It's not the only answer, but in this particular case it is the correct answer.so the only answer must be that someone with a different take is either malicious or ill informed.
If your point is that's what the other side claims, that much is true. But is it really the reason why she was arrested? No, it's just their excuse.SHe was arrested for obstructing ICE.
Yes and no. How the system is really supposed to work is, if there's no evidence whatsoever that you did something, you shouldn't be arrested in the first place. Maybe that's a subtle difference in the age of Trump, but it still matters.you'll note that I also said "IF" she did that, she should be tried and convicted. That's how the system is supposed to work.

He was a classic example of a nominal Democrat who tended to sound more like a Fox News host.2 things
1) who the fuck is Joe Lieberman?
According to people who have no credibility whatsoever. That is the crux of the dispute here.2) There is evidence she did it.
Again, that you, personally, don't find it credible doesn't make it untrue. It just means you don't believe it. I'm not aware of any requirement in probable cause that "YDB95" find there be probable cause. You're free to disbelieve them. Saying anyone who accepts that it is possibly true is subject to "propaganda" has more to say about you than the people you're levelling the accusation at.He was a classic example of a nominal Democrat who tended to sound more like a Fox News host.

My understanding is that the route she directed him on is standard procedure in cases like that. ICE had not done their job correctly; she did not owe it to them to make it easier for them to nab the guy (which they had no trouble doing once he was outside ayway).I believe it's possible, given that the immigrant supposedly went through non-public parts of the courthouse. If that isn't true, there'd be security footage of him leaving through the public parts of the courthouse. We'd probably have seen that already. We may come to see it in the next few days. If we do, great. Feel free to crow about being right.
In cases like what? State level misdemeanor battery cases? I have a hard time believing that is true.My understanding is that the route she directed him on is standard procedure in cases like that. There is no payback at all in this story.Payback is a bitch.
