I'm going to guess you're one of those people whose politics are a matter of religion and not a reasoned stance come to through actually thinking through the issues. It is wrong that so much of America treats judges like they sprang fully armed and armored from the brow of zeus, and are also magically pristine morally forthright people. They already, by and large, think that about themselves without your help.

A lot of judges do indeed grow to believe they are the law, and their desires are paramount. That's wrong. Breaking the law isn't excused by wearing a black robe. If you think that thought can only be thought by people in red hats, you're giving too much credit to people in red hats and not enough to everyone else.

Yeah that's not why they're getting arrested. You'll note nobody arrested the guy that ordered the return of the prisoner flights. Nobody is arresting any of the judges who ruled against the current administration. The state court judges who have been arrested were arrested for helping aliens evade ICE. IF they did that, then they should be tried and convicted, not treated like martyrs.

Yes and no. How the system is really supposed to work is, if there's no evidence whatsoever that you did something, you shouldn't be arrested in the first place. Maybe that's a subtle difference in the age of Trump, but it still matters.

I spoke to a nationally known Constitutional lawyer about this. He said judges are pretty much emperors of their courts and can do whatever they like, unironically. He said this is autocracy and i said "You say that like it's a bad thing. You just said judges are autocrats." He said presidents are elected. I said this judge was elected. We had to end the chat because he was speaking to a group but I thought it illuminating.

Again, that you, personally, don't find it credible doesn't make it untrue. It just means you don't believe it. I'm not aware of any requirement in probable cause that "YDB95" find there be probable cause. You're free to disbelieve them. Saying anyone who accepts that it is possibly true is subject to "propaganda" has more to say about you than the people you're levelling the accusation at.

If that isn't true, there'd be security footage of him leaving through the public parts of the courthouse. We'd probably have seen that already. We may come to see it in the next few days. My understanding is that the route she directed him on is standard procedure in cases like that. ICE had not done their job correctly; she did not owe it to them to make it easier for them to nab the guy (which they had no trouble doing once he was outside ayway).

In cases like what? State level misdemeanor battery cases? I have a hard time believing that is true.

If by "cases like that" you mean "cases where ICE is there" the fact that it might be standard operating procedure does not make it lawful.
