Hi 8Buchstaben, deine Geschichten sind echt der Hammer sie gefallen sehr. Ich hoffe du schreibst noch ein paar.

Hast du Deutsche vorfahren?
Which Google translates tells me is:
Hi 8letters, your stories are really awesome they are very enjoyable. I hope you write a few more.

Do you have German ancestors?

Das ist aber schoen! Ich moechte auf Deutsch schreiben aber kann doch nicht. Ab und zu lese ich deutsche Geschichten hier auf Literotica und einige sind ziemlich gut.

I have used google translate for many comments on my work.

The most frequent is Welsh, followed by Russian, Mandarin and Czech.

I find it funny that they can read English well enough to read a 17 page story in English, but then choose to leave a comment that I have to use Google Translate to comprehend. I almost deleted the comment without translating it. I guess they'd prefer getting the comment right and have me use Google translate to comprehend it to using weak English writing skills and risk getting the comment wrong.

Could it be that the reader read the story in translation (via Google Translate)?

I hadn't considered that possibility. If they did, that would explain why they commented in German. I've had another German commenter leave a comment on one of my stories how it was so much better than the German I/T stories on Literotica. Reading the story using Google Translate would solve that problem But I'd think Google Translate would have problems translating a 17-page erotic story.

Many of my stories have been translated into other languages e.g. Czech, German, Bengali, Mandarin and Japanese. But most link back to the original on Lit.

I didn't get a comment, but I got feedback in German a week ago about one of my stories:

Eine wunderbare Geschichte

von Jenna hast Du erzählt, 2x habe , das kopfkino rollte, ich sah ihre Größe, ihre herlichen schweren Titten, ihren Prachtarsch, ihre nasse Fickfotze. 2 x habe ich beim Lesen gewichst, 2x sprudelte das Sperma über meine Hand. Danke Du wundervolle Fotze, Traum meines Schwanzes.

Which Google translated as: "A wonderful story you told Jenna, 2x the head cinema rolled, I saw her size, her her lovely heavy tits, her magnificent ass, her wet fucking cunt. 2 times I gave way while reading, 2 times the sperm bubbled over my hand. Thank you wonderful cunt, dream of my cock."

I guess that meant he liked it

My wife reads (well, listens to, because she's blind) most of her entertainment in English, but has a hard time putting together a decent English sentence on her own. I do most of my writing in English, despite German being our native tongue, so I consider myself kinda fluent - but speaking freely? I'll stammer worse than a school kid in his first English lesson while my brain tries to comb for proper vocab and grammar in real time. I mean, when writing I have all the time in the world and there is no Backspace key when talking. :)

Take the compliment. Although I find it interesting that your admirer even translated your username.

Quite likely, because people can be dicks about that kind of thing.

One of my followers is a German who doesn't have good English. He left some very generous comments on one of my stories in extremely fractured English, and another reader promptly responded to slam his poor English.

I deleted the slam and PMed its poster: "hey, ---- isn't a native English speaker and I appreciate him making the effort to reply in my language even though he doesn't speak it well, please be nice". But I wrote it in German.

If they're using browser autotranslate to read, it might have done the username too?

That they used my translated username was part of the reason I almost deleted it without translating it. It looked like a comment addressed to some German who goes by 8Buchstaben and had nothing to do with me or my story.
