Personally, I'm delighted with what that way of thinking brought me. So much so that I plan to stick to it. Obama rather than republicans? No brainer there. Why should I return this country to the party that destroyed it and is continuing to destroy it? No thanks.Obama got in because after Two Terms under Bush it was "anyone but the Republicans"
So anyone with that mentality gets what they deserve.
There is absolutely nothing about Obama, what he is or what he's done (or hasn't done) that scares me more than what the republicans (run by the tea party and Christian right) are doing right now. Like, for example, the way Texas lawmakers have removed Jefferson and all lessons on slavery from school text books. Like Arizona law, passed by and signed in by republicans, that establishes conception as starting two weeks before a woman's period--that's right, no sperm required. Like forcing science teachers to teach Creationism, trying to take away laws that protect us from poison in our food and water, like voter i.d. laws that keep the elderly from voting, etc. etc. etc.
These things are terrifying. Those stupid questions regarding Obama in that bullshit letter--which can only be swallowed if you're completely clueless on the topic of logical fallacies (i.e. stone stupid)...even if they weren't total bullshit, they still wouldn't scare me as much as what I'm seeing republicans actually doing. For real.
I would not vote for a republican these days if he was marching in a gay pride parade, a card carrying member of the ACLU and donating money to Planned Parenthood.
