France reported 43 cases of heart incidents linked to treating coronavirus patients with hydroxychloroquine, the malaria drug President Donald Trump has repeatedly touted as a potential “game changer.”
France has recorded about 100 health incidents and four deaths linked to experimental drugs for coronavirus patients since March 27, the national drug-safety agency ANSM said in a statement on Friday. Three other patients had to be revived.
Some 82 incidents were deemed “serious.” Most of those were split between hydroxychloroquine and HIV antivirals lopinavir-ritonavir, according to the agency.
Nigeria reported two cases of chloroquine poisoning after U.S. President Donald Trump praised the anti-malaria drug as a treatment for the novel coronavirus.
Health officials are warning Nigerians against self-medicating after demand for the drug surged in Lagos, a city that’s home to 20 million people. Two people were hospitalized in Lagos for chloroquine overdoses, Oreoluwa Finnih, senior health assistant to the governor of Lagos, said in an interview.
It is actually an extremely safe drug. It is one off the safest drugs to take for my condition or I would not have agreed to take it in the first place. I belong to several groups.
It is actually an extremely safe drug. It is one off the safest drugs to take for my condition or I would not have agreed to take it in the first place. I belong to several groups and side effects are minimal for a high percentage of people. Of course, we are different than others, so perhaps we respond different.
The military used it for years, in extremely high doses.
For people with underlying heart issues, it can create problems. Along with a probability that the virus can also cause heart conditions, which could make someone a poor candidate.
Mixing it with the Z-pack can create issues with heart rhythms. This is not new information, as it was always listed on my drug interaction sheet.
As with any drug, people respond differently and as always, should be monitored by a doctor.
People drugging themselves with no real knowledge, no knowledge of dosing and mixing it, are idiots.
All autoimmune issues. That is why people thought it might stimulate the immune response. Problem is...our immune response is not just one response. Why the drug works for any of the diseases listed here, does not mean it works the same for a viral infection. Hence, why more research should be done before making statements that it works wonders. You sound like Trump. "It's a very powerful drug, luxurious and the best of all the drugs and I oughta know, right?"
Which ones do you have?
Chloroquine phosphate is used occasionally to decrease the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and to treat systemic and discoid lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, pemphigus, lichen planus, polymyositis, sarcoidosis, and porphyria cutanea tarda.

I take hydroxychloroquine for an over active immune system

So exposure to more diseases is good for you?
What exactly am I being exposed to?
If Sigh and I sat thigh to thigh with maybe on her lips, I’d be hard pressed to hear it as a no.
And Trump had to ramble about it. Once again, he couldn’t help or control himself.
It could work, out first responders are using it. McGill University, which is our Super Hospital is using it.
It might not work at all.
But to discredit it because of political beliefs or believing everything you read about it, is foolish.
And I am not referring to you Dribble, just people in general.
I understand. As you have said, you take it because of an overactive immune system. It prevents cytokine bursts, but does so at the risk of lowering your immune response. This is WHY it is not a good choice for prevention...it does the opposite of what we want in society as a whole gaining a quick immunity.
Yes, there is evidence it "may" help those in ICU experiencing a cytokine burst. That is what it does. There is NO evidence, it mitigates or prevents the infection. What happens to the general public if their immune response is lowered? Republicans want certain groups of people dead.
Personally, I am to the point where we become multiple countries. Let Republicans be stupid and die. Let us decide how to proceed based on science.
You know Malaria is caused by a virus, right?
And you know that this medication helps the immune system kill the Malaria virus, right?
And yet, if what you say is true, then the opposite would be occurring. Right?
Yet, reality.

I might suggest you read up on how the human immune system works...just saying
