Am glad Rita wasn't as nasty as expected and many are checking in as A-Okay.

But for an adult site - there sure are a lot of immature twats and tools in here.

Killswitch, for someone who didn't want to have to see this thread, I bet you've posted more times in it than anyone else. You're so disgusting.

And when this goes on for the next month as a Texas thread full of fluff and crap youll surely have the same opinion of it.

Whatever.....youll all see it my way before this thing is finished.

Shyly Curious put it best though... around these parts we are prepared for Mother Nature. Down south they have an attitude of it'll never happen to them and when it does they are never, never, never prepared.

Well Texas was ready for this one.. we did great in getting people out unlike NO which screwed up bad.. yes it was bumper to bumper on the highways but that's what happens with 2 million hit the roads at the same time..

Hi Guys . . . for those of us outside continental USA . . . is there a link anywhere to show the relative locations of this hurricane and the affected cities?

We don't get much vision on TV over here, and this is a bit frustrating because all the Litsters that I have met come from allover, including some from sopmwhere in the hurricane zone. :)

This site will lalow you track any hurricane it's updated as the national hurrican Center update ther advisories..

Checking in.

Just got back home today and not much damage here besides a few downed trees and fences and some lost shingles. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed after 4 days away.

Thanks for the thread.

Thanks for your concern. Luckily my evac didn't turn into an all day thing like it did for some. According to their return dates, I was not supposed to come back until Tuesday. I doubt many people will stick to that and stay gone that long.

Thank you my football buddy. In the event of my untimely demise you would have been free to have Delhomme.

I don't blame them. Everyone wants to get back to their own beds and routines. I did tell my daughter to stay put in the Hill Country until tomorrow just so they didn't get stuck in traffic. I expect it to be heavy tonight.

It sounded like there was a huge effort being made to get gasoline back down here. That would be my biggest concern of starting back too soon. I would NOT want to sit in another traffic jam for a while!

Cut and paste it into the football thread before we get charged with hijacking here.

I did see a few gas stations open in the area around here and the Wal-mart was open but it didn't have much. I also made sure to pass by that apartment complex that caught on fire. It was sad to see and I feel bad for the people that come home to that. As well as all of those that lost their houses in other areas of Texas and Louisiana.

I talked to IWC on the phone yesterday. I can't remember where she said she had gone but she was alright yesterday so I am sure she will be back on here soon.

Another one heard from!

(I feel like a hen gathering her chicks :nana: )

If you speak to her again, ask her to call Bluebie. She always cheers him up!

Hope Ginny and her miracle are safe and sound.

Tortoise posted last night that they were out of town for the weekend, and away from the fracas.

Is that a word? I don't want to look it up.
