How to post a picture?

How do I insert an image posted elsewhere on the web? I used to do it by using the picture icon in the editor, but lately all the options there are disabled when I try to post from my phone. It works on a PC though. Switching phone to the "desktop site" doesn't help.

What else should I try?

Have you tried image tags? I’ll have to type it out because trying to type them makes the forum think I’m posting an image.

Left bracket (this one -[), then “img,” then right bracket. Paste the url to the right of that, and then close the tag with left bracket, \img, right bracket.

Hope it didn’t sound patronizing or condescending the way I described it, since you clearly knew to use the phrase html codes. I don’t know that. In my head, this is a lit shortcut, lol.
