Hi,

I have a story which is around 33k words. My previous longest was 32k words, so I don’t know if I have crossed some threshold.

I write in Word365 on an iPhone. When I open the story in Lit Works, and maximize the text box, if I do Select All, and press delete, the browser crashes. I get the same in both Chrome and Safari. I’ve rebooted my phone (twice). I’ve closed down all other apps. I’ve done the above using a wholly new story, which I can create and preview fine, but can’t wipe the text to paste revised text. It still crashes.

I assume that the undo is too big for the phone memory or something like that.

I can get round this by posting a new story with each edit I want to preview, but that means recreating tags and short description and everything else.

Is this a known bug? I’ve not had it before with stories very close to the size of this one.

I suppose I could try to upload the Word file, not sure if that augments or replaces what is there. Can you then preview?

For anyone also experiencing this problem, I found a work-around while exploring file uploads.

If you upload a dummy file, the Lit page will warn you that it will delete everything in the text box. AND IT DOES!

So you can then delete the dummy file and paste your new text in the textbox.

It’s a pain, but better than having to recreate your tags and description etc.
