Honesty on the Lit boards

These are not my words ....
don't invite others to comment if you can't take everyone not being sympathetic... that's all I'm saying. Not a personal slam...just my opinion on these kinds of threads in general.

now my words,

don't start thread if you can't tolerate others giving their frank opinion or not playing with your tunes.

There were a lot more than personal opinions given in response to this thread. i can handle opinions but put downs and slams were unnecessary. We never slammed anyone here. We ladies never flamed anyone here. It may have seemed that way simply because so few men posted there negative stories on women but i know they are out there too.

Opinions and disagreeing with me, i can handle. i am a GBer after all.

uhm if you were a GBr, slams and insults wouldn't bother u considering GBr's distribute slams and insults on a daily basis.....

I never threw a personal insult into the mix, so I do hope that's not directed at me. I was trying to make a point that it is just as much women as it is men that do this sort of thing, but the thread seems to have concentrated mainly on men being the problem.....which is not fair at all.

ok I have to say something. This was about ONE MAN who was playing with 4 women at the same time and telling the same shit. They all found out and wanted to warn others. They even posted his screen name. That is what this is about.
And yes guys have been hurt by women players and that also was pointed out and some agreed that women also did this.
I never saw this as male bashing but as 4 women saying they got used and played by this one guy. And yes they did mention that other men and women did this. But it was about one guy.
And yes some insults and personal attacks have been made on this thread. And I am sorry you think it is silly that people take other people serious on here and Lit as serious. There are many that have and some have even gotten married after meeting on here. So, yes many take it serious and some end up in good relationship and others make friends and others get used and hurt. Just like life, but there is no need to slam someone for this.

i am a GBer after all.

I've read a lot of the tripe you post. Hell you even complained about not finding a guy that would piss on you. Looks like you now. You have been on my iggy for years, only reason you aren't now a gal PM'd me to look at this ridiculous thread.

Its hard to believe for me, that p/g people keep each other on iggy threads :)
I thought iggy was only for non p/g outsiders like me.

[edit]

I just checked Pink's profile & threads, she has more threads in GB than PG. so now I got the point.
but no one is in my iggy list.

Love him or hate him, he sure hits the nail on the head with this! Bill
Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not
and will not learn in school. He talks about how feel-good, politically
correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality
and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Rule 1 : Life is not fair - get used to it!

Rule 2 : The world won't care about your self-esteem. The world will expect
you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself.

Rule 3 : You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You
won't be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both.

Rule 4 : If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss.

Rule 5 : Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. Your
Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it
opportunity.

Rule 6 : If you mess up, it's not your parents' fault, so don't whine about
your mistakes, learn from them.

Rule 7: Before you were born, your parents weren't as boring as they are
now. They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and
listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. So before you
save the rain forest from the parasites of your parent's generation, try
delousing the closet in your own room.

Rule 8 : Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life
HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they'll
give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn't
bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life.

Rule 9 : Life is not divided into semesters. You don't get summers off and
very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on
your own time.

Rule 10 : Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually
have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.

Rule 11 : Be nice to nerds. Chances are you'll end up working for one.

If you agree, pass it on.
If you can read this - Thank a teacher!
If you are reading it in English - Thank a soldier!

dont get me started on the subject of SSA....I just don't believe illegals deserve SSA benefits and a good chunk of those people waiting are illegals trying to benefit of our hard work paying into that fund....

That's the problem, it was not meant to be drawn by people who have never paid into it. Illegals should be shot and drug back across the border. Those dying are Americans and vets.

there's an ad that comes on TV around here for a lawyer specializing in getting SSA for people that have tried over and over - there's a hispanic lady complaining about being denied 3 times, in her heavy 'just came across the border' accent....and I'm thinkin 'there's a reason why you got denied 3 times'....quit bein greedy...

took me almost 5 years to get mine that I paid into all my life. If I were a high school kid with adhd I would have gotten it in a month. It wasn't meant to be a welfare program for stay dogs that happen to drop a little in this country.

yeah I remember cashing them for 18 yr old kids when I worked in a cash office when I was younger....they looked ok to me, but cause their parents got disabled or whatever, they're entitled....whatever

If the parent is drawing it fine, he paid for the kid, that is not the case all the time now.

god forbid if I had an 18 yr old kid I was supporting 100% they'd prolly tell me no I'm not eligble, yet the family with 10 friggin kids walks in and they get all of my SSA support and then some cause they're....they're just them.....well lets see first option, quit fuckin like rabbits and two get a fucking job to support your freakin family instead of relying on the govt of your 'adopted' country to support you
