Have you ever got a pm from someone you never expected to get one from?

Every once in a while I get a pm from this really sweet individual...just telling me how much my posts make them smile. This is sweet. I like that...but almost every pm is kinda unexpected but that's another story.

yup i have gotten a few and there are about 6 or so that i keep.

Its all good and while one or two might raise a few eyebrows, nothing too incriminating.

All the ones i keep though, have a special meaning to me in some way.

Once I got a pm from someone that kinda blew me away. Not because of it's content, but just because I didn't think the person noticed, let alone enjoyed me. lol

Other than that most of the people I pm with regularly are people I contacted first. I have no idea why that is.

Nope. I never get surprise ones. I like giving them, though.

As far as keeping them...not really. A few I cut and pasted into my email to save if they had some sentimental value.

I remember last valentine when we PM poeple that we like and never PM before..... that was a fun idea..... we should have more then one valentine day in a year.

I've gotten a few that completely blew me away. Mostly from people that I would never think would notice me. I keep the occasional PM, but I'm really bad about responding, and I almost never send them out.

Its funny. I used to pm alot.

Then my pop up thingy stopped working and I forgot about it.

Then Rambrat started yelling at me and bossing me all over the place about it,so I broke down and I now keep my box up to date.

I wish that some of the pm's were not so tempting.

Yes, in the last couple of months, I have gotten the most sweetest and encouraging PM's from people. Offering support, friendship, or just a hug and a kind word.

I've always appreciated them, and I have kept a few of them.

And I try to send them out to people who need a lift, too.

Yes, I've gotten several sweet and very unexpected PMs. One I got last week actually made me cry, but not sad tears at all. It just really touched me deeply. It's the only one I've made sure to save. I'm really bad about deleting things by accident.

Oh yes. I have been totally amazed a few times to go to my PM box there waiting is a PM from someone I had no idea noticed me.

(Being invisible this is most of the board).

It does give you a warm feeling. Especially when they aren't requesting that you leave and never post again.

Surpirse PMs

I received a PM today from someone asking me about a story I'd read (I posted a comment saying how much I liked it). And then the message asked whether I'd ever played Truth or Dare, which was featured in the story. How exciting! I don't even know for sure whether the message came from a man or a woman, but I hope we're going to play Truth or Dare on line, and perhpas I'll find out!
I don't get many PMs, but it's always fun, and this was one of the most excitring!

but usually from newbies - or beyond newbies (no posting at all!). Usually they are commenting on my stories, so I like that - getting feed back and all. I don't usually save any of them though.

I guess the saying - "you gotta send 'em to get 'em" - works for me!
