It's too late for them to change that perception. Which means that when they defend Ukraine, most people look at what they say and believe the opposite, just becaise it's CNN. The same with the Democrats. Everything the Democrats say is a lie or a scam, so when a Democrat comes out in support of Ukraine, the automatic areaction is that it's bullshit and to oppose them. When I see Klobuchar wearing a "support Ukraine" t-shirt, my gut reaction is to do the opposite.

This is the end result of Biden failing to build REAL bi-partisan support amongst the American people and instead treating support for Ukraine as a partisan domestic political issue. It's tragic, but we have to place the blame where it should lie.

Trump has always felt that Ukraine joining NATO was a non starter and that kind of talk antagonized the hell out of Putin. Zelensky pushing that narrative just gave Putin this idea he could recapture countries to reconstitute the old Soviet empire. Both sides miscalculated. Now we have to end the senseless killings.
