Is there a "Stump the Experts" thread in the making?

That's an awful thing to say about our single-amputee Members, Sunstruck.

Interesting confession from someone who has a Mini Cooper as his Av.

True but to be honest the new cooper is a world car. The parts list comes includes just about every country in western/northern europe. The Pentagon engine is bulit in Brazil and was a joint design project between Chrysler and BMW back before Chrylser was bought out by Mercedes.

I know some things about cars, mostly older cars - not the 80's and newer cars - things like the engine in TR3s and TR4s was a tractor engine, and the inline six in a Jag came from a lorry (truck) IIRC.

I have spent much more time working on fuel injected vehicles then I have on carb cars. I could rebuild a carb but fine tuning one would be well beyond me.

I like some Brit cars and bikes, they have character and the style is interesting. I also used to mess around with American cars; I used to have some pretty trick setups for Chevys; I had an Offenhauser manifold and three one barrel carbs on a 236 inline six, several multi- carb setups for a 348/409, and some equally trick stuff for a 396/427.

Then there was the time I cleaned out a Corvette collector's garage for him and got all kinds of kewl stuff including a '61 Vette body (sans front end and frame). I wish I had kept that stuff, but I was poor and stupid then. Of course, if I had invested the time and money into the stock market instead I would have made even more money - but where is the fun in that?

Cars are way cooler then the stock market but cashing in all your stock to buy a cool car is even better. :D

Sorry about that Lance. I'm sure they can sew it back on. Look to Bobbit for inspiration.

I tried that a couple times in college.

Trying to gather 4-6 people together for hours at a time is just too much work.

Okay, but you give good advice about piercings. So? ;)

You need to make your way down here, then. I've managed with friends of mine once a week (excepting the Holiday Season) regularly for 8 years with a side game on Thursday nights for the last two.

You'd definitely be welcome. I can tell you that now. :)

No offense, Jim, but if I were going to take a Lit trip, it would not be to play D&D.

:D

I pretty much know nothing about everything.

I will welcome some expert's opinions on how to spend the $200 cheque I got today though. :)
