I did tonight. And gave up within twenty minutes.
In the Lit Lounge I felt like a stalled traveller standing on the concourse of Waterloo station - the traffic of so many people wanting to be somewhere else! They all travelled on to their chosen rooms, presumably to pick up with their friends within.
Giving a hello, introducing myself as new, with no understanding of the many buttons in the right-hand box, gained no on page responses. Not too much of a surprise.
Though, a few souls requested pm chat then closed the boxes when I was not interested in e-sucking them off. The intriguing bit here is that I picked a gender-indeterminate user name.
So, I have to say that Lit's Live chat is great if you are in the loop and use it to exchange emos with friends, but not so easily accessed if you are simply looking to join for the sake of friendly conversation. And I do not mean the kind of conversation that starts with, "I'm unzipped and waiting..."
